I'd rather only have people there who truly support the club, not just those who turn up and sit on their hands. The atmosphere at Newcastle, last season, was as flat as a fart.
I'm not sure that the first game against Derby is going to lift the roof though. It'll be up to Grayson from now on to generate the excitement on who and how he puts them out. The soundings are good but we need more signings in the next couple of weeks, if that's even possible.
This might be one positive of smaller crowds mate. The stayaways will likely be the ****ers who get on the lads backs after a misplaced pass after 2 mins at 0-0, and the knuckledraggers who follow her like sheep. The 32k or so who stand by the club, we've all been in this **** before and had great times following the lads out of the big boys league. I genuinely think I'll enjoy this season, I've barely enjoyed the last 3, at times it's been going through the motions.
Apparently our old pal Juddas Bent won't be joining us next week at the SOL. He's torn a hamstring in a pre season friendly and will be out till Christmas, shame.
I think the atmosphere will be good for this game, mate. If we score the first goal, I expect the roof to be well and truly lifted.
