Just watched the programme, good interviews with the whole family with his wife almost taking second place to football, when asked about being carried down Gloucester road after we won promotion last year he said I'm a supporter and we had to celebrate. he also kept mentioning about taking the club forward and being in it for the long term, as long as the supporters wanted him
Thought it was a superb interview and our owner came across as a really nice, genuine bloke with a sound business head and a passionate football fan aswell. He is obviously well impressed with the entire set up at Rovers from the history of the club, right through to the staff and not least, the support the team receives. His comments can do nothing but fill all Gasheads with strong optimism for the future. At long last, I think the future is rosy!!
It was a very good story on him although the interviewer came across very cheesey. But Wael came across (like he always does) as a very nice and approachable guy. I certainly saw how he is able to get what he wants due to the charm that he has. His wife sounds like she wouldnt mind getting involved as well. I cant remember word for word but she basically said that Rovers is part of the family and has made the family complete. I love her already I said to my wife "why cant you be more like her" which didnt go down to well
By the sounds of it CJS you have a wife who loves football as much as mine does EG 22 grown men kicking a bag of wind arround
