I'd rather know now than later, but at the same time we can't force other clubs to make an offer. If there's nothing on the table, but we've already pressured the players into giving us an answer, that damages us more than taking it as it comes.
Well if there are just a few weeks until kick off i would refuse any late attempts that come and say they are not for sale....
If they don't tell us strait they are staying then it may take some time while Thier agents start an auction with club's to try and start a bidding war before they move ?
If we sell then all that will do is send a clear message to every agent and player on the market that we are a club with no ambition. Who would want to come here knowing that? Also, it dont make any business sense either as the money we get for them we'll have to spend at least as much on replacements of the same quality so we'd be standing still, not moving forward. Also agents will know how much we sold S and L for so could bargain hard on lesser players. If we sell then we'll be facing a no win scenario. Just thinking about who wll be in our squad start of next season is exciting. Who will come, who will go? One thing's for sure though come Augusts we'll know what our knew owners are, American Psychos or American Samurai.
