Me too mate. But it's like all politics, before official reports are published they've already nullified all the meaningful opposition, leaving just the unsupported blowhards in the press, or the small irrelevancies that no one will back, to make a few noises before everyone fall's into place. It's a done deal.
Corrupt regimes will always crumble eventually no matter how indestructible they appear. From Mussolini to the Ku Klux Klan they all fall eventually. FIFA have benefited from 'the Emperor's new clothes' for years but it may only take one little voice to make others listen. Let's hope the Dutch can be the innocent little child who isn't part of the hypocrisy
At least the Qatar military are well equipped should ISIS qualify for the tournament, they've got great tanks. please log in to view this image
Typical Swiss eh ...... if they can hide the gold from the teeth of concentration camp victims I'm sure they're capable of anything. I seem to remember, about 10 years ago, Blatter boastfully declaring an '8000 feet above sea level' limit for matches. Now he decides that playing in afucking desert is a good idea
I would be careful lobbing insults about. Dublin has lots of Universities and a far better standard of education that we have here
According to reports on Sky, it looks like EUFA maybe starting to play hardball. There may be some mileage in the Dutch's opening moves after all. Fingers crossed lads!
Netherlands football body reject exposing their players to the summer heat of Dubai, and will not change its football programme for a winter tournament. They also have a candidate for head of Fifa, and have 3 European votes secured. There is strong feeling in the Netherlands against Fifa with all the corruption accusations surrounding Fifa,
You can see what I said on #17 above. I guess I assumed that it would be just another national FA kicking up a fuss, but eventually buckling under somewhere down the line. I hope I'm wrong on that, that maybe this could be just the first move in Europe looking at the cold hard facts, assessing their strength, financially and input, resource-wise, in terms of players involved, and maybe taking a hardline, at long last. It'll be interesting to see what comes out of this meeting next week. You just know that, ultimately if Europe says no, that FIFA will play the race/religion card!
