It’s the 40th game of the season and the M40 Derby at Adams Park for the promotion chasing Chairboys and with a big holiday crowd expected AP will be buzzing in anticipation of what should be a good game and with the ale festival returning the watching Chairboys faithful will be in good spirits. The bad news is that Sido looks to be out injured for the remainder of the season so Nico will continue at right back but as far as I’m aware there are no new injury worries and Fred is likely to return to the starting line up to partner Captain Paul Hayes up front. Although I’m on the dreaded night shift this week I will be at AP looking forward to seeing the lads doing the double over the lot from just along the road and collecting another 3 points in our quest for promotion<ok>

should be a good match and as always a potential banana skin in a derby. I expect to see one change to the lineup, with the ineffective McClure being replaced by either fred, craig or Holloway.

In order of preference for me is Fred then Holloway and, a long way behind, Craig.

    Words of caution
    • they come here off the back of a 2-1 victory over Carlisle, coming from behind
    • on their travels they have beaten Bury, Stevenage and Plymouth
    • they have recently signed Peterborough striker Vassell on loan and he scored the winner against Carlisle
    • they have been relying to a large extent on their top scorer Hylton (13), having netted 1/3 of their League 2 goals but now we have 2 to worry about
I think this will be a tough game, particularly at Adams Park, where (generally) we don't seem to play as well and the pressure is on for an auto promotion spot and the possibility of promotion as champions (if we beat Burton)

That win against Carlisle was against 10 men and Carklisle fans say they are crap at the moment, i don't fear Oxford it's monday's game that worries me so a win at home to Oxford and a draw at Burton woul;d be a cracking Easter with Cheltenham after that.

Looking forward to this one, am back from uni for Easter so able to get to a few games which is good! Think we will come out on top 2-1 with someone from Oxford seeing red (please god let it be Hylton) given other teams' record of sendings off against us this season. COYB

One player who will not be involved is Danny Rowe who has been recalled by Rotherham

I think if we can win by 2 clear goals and Shrewsbury fail to beat Dagenham, and Burton Lose, history will be repeated. When we beat Oxford in November it put us at the top of League 2. How sweet would that be with Burton to play away on Monday to stay top.

I see that Hylton scored that goal against us, from the penalty spot. Maybe if we can avoid giving away a penalty we can keep a clean sheet and get a couple. If Shrews do win today, we could still go top if Shrews don't win on Monday and we don't lose against Burton. BUT we must first beat Oxford this afternoon.

It looks as though Shrews will be topping the table tonight but I'm hoping to see some dancers tonight on here; and not from Oxford fans!

FFS 2-0 down. Shrews coasting to victory already and Bury winning. It's all going wrong. Come on you blues.

Bury, Burton and Shrewsbury all winning. :steam: We need at least a draw to keep the pressure on Bury.

Bean has been utterly shocking first half, needs to be taken off at half time. Mawson has constantly needed to come into midfield to pick up the pieces, which is why they scored their second. Nico was at fault for the first, winger got past him far too easily.

Murphy for Bean at H/T is what we need, then Holloway for Blooms on the hour, pushing Fred onto the wing. We need a quick goal, otherwise we're done for.
