I'm coming over for the Bristol City match in October and need to find somewhere for the wife and niece to meet for a nice dinner while I have my "fun" at the Bush. Not sure of good places to go, my recent experiences include the c&s and a pub on the river in Fulham. Criteria No Michelin stars Not so loud that a conversation is difficult. Definitely not interested in Chinese Thai or Indian restaurants. Will that be too difficult to find within a reasonable distance from W12?
Too funny, but we always go the quick way home via DXB or SG. Haven't been to mainland US for 15 years. Too many other places to visit.
Should have mentioned, they don't want to head into West End. niece has to get back to Bristol as soon as game finishes, it's a school night (and she the headmistress) so no lateness for her. I will keep that in mind though as I believe we may be staying in Hilton near Liberty. We went to Aqua last time, it was very good
There's a Lebanese restaurant in Churchfield Road, Acton called L'Oriental. Only had takeaway and was very good quality. Tried to eat there once and full up with private party. If surroundings important then a bit drab but food excellent. There's a pizza place called Santa Maria in St Marys Road Ealing that is highly rated and recently refurbed. Slightly finer dining at Pillars training restaurant of the university of West London also on St Marys Road. Trainee chefs and waiters but good food and pleasant ambience. Needs booking.
Its still there, I only ever eat there or the chippie by the Met line station when in W12. Or at a push the thai in the C and S. But if you dont mind going into town then the Gauchos call is a good one
