I'm glad we don't have him any more but genuinely think Pardew is a better option than any of those mentioned. He's dross at developing players but actually seemed good at getting good players to express themselves well on the pitch - Cabaye, Ben Arfa, etc - and when we got on a roll we looked amazing.

 

Anyone English should be ruled out immediately

 

Frank Spencer is a better alternative to any current English manager.

 

We don't know that Eddie Howe is crap. He is therefore the only possible choice.

 

Seems to be between Bruce and Alladyce.

Being a good or great Club Manager means **** all when it comes to International Football as we've seen over the last 50 years.

 

I think Allardyce could do a good job. Well lets face it, he couldn't do much worse than the last lot.

He's well-known for organising his team and getting the best out of his players. That'll do for starters.

Considering it was between him and Bruce, I think that's a decent result.

 

I am almost convinced he will do a better job than most will expect. he was the only choice right now. I think Howe is potentially the best English manager in a long while but he needs to spend much longer in club football. I personally think we have lost our identity trying to be the total footballing package. It doesn't suit us at this moment. We need to spend more time looking at the opposition, understanding what we have got and how best to beat them.

Basically Roy had 1 or 2 systems that saw us playing the same way with players stood in different parts of the pitch. No actual tactics. I DJ sometimes on the weekend. I would liken this to a DJ that turns up with a set list and an order to play them in, that's what's going to happen and bollocks to the crowd you have in front of you. End result everyone disinterested. Instead you need to turn up with your box of tools and play to the evolving situation in front of you. Only then can you have the perfect balance.

 

I do think its funny that Big Sam walked out of their match last night before it ended, slipped out the back door not telling anyone! leaving them managerless during a game! No respect

I DJ as well, yes you turn up on a fri/sat nite with a set you would like to play out, but you have to have to be able to move with the crowd/team. Just because you think your set/tactics is/are amazing, it does not mean it will work against/with this crowd/team. Hodgson is the worst DJ/Manager I have ever seen.!! No matter what happened, he never changed his tunes, just like Judge Jules..!! ****er...
