Wiki says that scrapping FA cup runner's up qualifying is next season. I think we're gonna have to support Liverpool to get there along with Arsenal and hope for an Arsenal win.
Pretty sure it's for next season's Europa League, affecting qualifying this season. With any luck though, it won't matter, since Arsenal and Liverpool should both get to the final.
Does it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014–15_FA_Cup "The winner of the FA Cup will earn automatic qualification to the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League group stages. If, however, the winner of the Cup is already qualified for the Champions League or Europa League (through position in domestic league), then the highest placed team in the 2014–15 Premier League not already Europe-qualified will claim this Europa League place. In a change to Europa League rules, qualifying slots for national cup winners no longer pass to the runners-up if the winners have already qualified through their league." What this does mean is I'm wrong about the FA Cup winners (or presumably 6th place, if they take the FA cup winners spot) having to go through one round of qualifying.
Fonte just subbed on for Portugal, replacing the player that put them 1 - 0 up Carvailho. Dusan went close.
