Pain in the backside changing it at such short notice. 5 of us had booked flights etc. As it has been changed so late, flights are now very expensive.
Count me in !!!! Very disappointed to find out. As you say flights are now at a premium, and I have the whole family (4 of us) going along. I would have to change flights and book another night at the hotell, should cost somewhere between £200-300. Not sure I'd be happy to pay that.
Yep, I paid 110 euros for my day trip flight for the Saturday. My choice now is, pay another 108 euros for a day trip going on red eye flights both ways or pay 74 euros to go on a red eye flight Saturday morning and come back very late Sunday night. Jurys Inn Croydon is 62 pounds room only for the Saturday night. Add in food, match tickets, trains and drinks and it is gearing up to be a very expensive day out.
Thinking of writing off the flight already paid and not going to this game now due to excessive cost. For April, Chelsea and West Ham at home. I know Chelsea might be changed back to the Saturday 17.30 if they beat PSG. What about the West Ham game on 25th April??? Anybody know if there is any reason why that could be changed? Thanks.
This is outrageous. At the very least the clubs and the other powers that be should of envisaged this and should of made provisions for it.
Just looked on Ryan air website for the Sunday and there are some seats on the 7:30am into Gatwick for €31 but it costs €77 to get back on the 21:30. The 11:30 flight going over is €65.....still a lot for a day out.
Yet another change in dates. I can't believe the money I have wasted on train fares that I had pre-booked before the changes. Makes a mockery of booking early to keep price down. Nobody in Football gives a toss. Roll on the Championship for Saturdays at 3.00pm and no TV.
I bet you are. I'm thinking of getting over for the Newcastle game 16 May, hope to be celebrating another season in the PL then, but I suppose I need to book travel home the following Tuesday to be pretty safe. Are Newcastle still in the FA Cup or any other competition, anyone know?
Hopefully, I can buy some more flights with Ryan air. I'll probably have to have an unpaid day off work on the Monday. I haven't said anything to my eight year old boy yet, who got this trip as a Christmas present: The only present he has talked about since then (just about every day). When are clubs, Sky and the FA going to start giving a **** about supporters?
Thank you, Ryan Air! This game being moved to Sunday "only" cost me an extra 100 pounds (and an unpaid day off work). If you are reading this Tony, a couple of free tickets sitting next to Sir Les would be a nice compensation
Maybe somebody could do something useful on twitter and send the Communications team and TF a link to this thread to see the effect such late notice of the change is having on supporters? I'd do it myself but I closed my twitter account.
Feck it. I've booked new plane tickets and one more night in London. Everton tickets ordered, South Africa Road. Costs extra but it gives us 24 hours extra in London and we'll catch a Rangers three pointer. Well worth it imo
Good man Norway. In for a penny, in for a pound. Did the same myself. You only live once so the trick is to enjoy it.
i also think that Sunday games ruin the atmosphere. you can see this being a draw/lose like it usually is against Everton on a Sunday. i feel for all who are booking flights
