Fair enough. I think Walcott, Oxo and Iwobi have been really good so far this season, but none of them are on a Sanchez level Who would you try and buy to be that other 'top class one' ?
Iwobi has been mediocre this season as has Oxlade. Iwobi can be excused. Reus. Griezmann. Both play for selling clubs.
That's the second time in a row Ashley Williams has been a facking thorn in our side God, I really do ****ing hate that guy. Second time he's scored a last minute winner against us in consecutive seasons. To be fair, not many teams will beat Everton on their own turf. They are unbeaten at home, but they'd won 1 in the last 10 prior to last night so really, we should have looked to take advantage of their poor form. Ah well. Ozil especially missed some big chances. Also, Wenger's record against Koeman is terrible when you consider the teams Koeman has had compared to Wenger. It's no coincidence that we always come unstuck against him. For those that are interested, this is AW's record against Koeman: DDLDDWLWLLDL His teams always press us with high intensity and stifle us in possession. It works every time because our players don't know how to deal with it. They didn't really show that side to them in the first half, which is where we should have really looked to take advantage of their poor performance but they did it a lot better in the second half and capitalised on it. I wanted 4 points from Everton and City, but best we can get now is 3. We need to beat City. A point won't do because Chelsea could create a massive gap after their next few games, so no room for error.
I'm not liking the excuses that Wenger is coming out with. Take the defeat graceful and move on with the next game, we don't want to hear all that.
Cracking game I thought we started OK for the first 10, and then you got control of the ball without creating anything. The freekick was a tad unfortunate for us with the wicked deflection and I expected it to be a stroll for you after going one up. Not sure whether it came across on the box, but there was 2 consecutive slide tackles on the halfway line, on about 30 mins? Barkley with the first and then McCarthy, and that lifted the crowd massively, as that's all we've been waiting to see - desire and a bit of passion. After that the game turned, and the equaliser was coming, as we got right in your faces, and that side still don't like that kind of game it seems. Second half the longer it went on, the more I fancied us to nick a winner. The block on the line in injury time was bonkers though, incredible finish. Good turn out from your lads, a long trek back to the smoke on a Tuesday night that, so fair play
I still don;t think we've got it in us to go away to top half of the table teams and win or even play well often enough.. You have to be able to do that if you want to win the league
You still don't relish a game when the opposition really press you hard and get some challenges in. Ozil disappeared when the going got tough last night. Seeing Sanchez in the flesh and watching his incredible first touch and control was a treat though tbh, great player that lad. He should have brought Giroud (who always scores against us) off the bench much earlier imo.
Thank **** I gave last night's game a miss.I don't attend many away games as I have difficulty standing for long periods.I tend to just go to away games at grounds I haven't visited.I'll definitely go to Deepdale in the cup and I'll most probably go to Middlesboro.
He's played 7 times and, bar a hat trick in Basel, hasn't shown anything special in any of them. Squad player like Welbeck who once in a blue moon will do something incredible against poor opposition.
Judge Perez over the entire season and on how many games he made a significant impact. Let's see what happens when we go through a slump and what players up it.
So could Vela when he played carling cup and backup games for us. He was also not good enough to be a starting wing forward for us.
