I liked seeing reformed teams come back from the dead, Newport and Wimbledon did it, Wimbledon with the added inventive of overtaking Milton Keynes.

Burton recently partly because they have a link to my name and Nigel Clough has done so well on a limited budget.

 

Lincoln City

 

If I have a second team it's Carlisle United, but only because of a game at Boothferry Park when we beat them 1-0 with an Ian Goodison goal which we didn't see from the South stand because of the torrential rain.

I don't think I've ever seen rain like it and the North stand was uncovered. Carlisle had brought a big number and they danced and sang throughout the ninety minutes.

So my second team is because of those excellent fans of theirs.

 

Edit: Good to see them in a promotion spot too.

 

1st injury to Burnley after 20 mins. Gudmundssen limped off.

HT 0-0.

 

Barton the ****er, struggling against Lincoln, he has to resort to standing on the opponents foot, and then diving to the floor himself.

 

Got to be a red for one of them here...

Lucky bastards, just a yellow.

 

Big team bias of course.

 

Barton was distracted, checking to make sure Rhead wasn't around to pull his head off.

 

I've got Rhead down for a booking. The odds have dropped a 'tad' since kick off.

I don't think he'll be involved much now. He's at centre mid, and has just dropped from slow jog down to shuffle speed.

I'd have preferred a draw.

 

Burnley lose.

Nerve racking end, I looked at the cash out when Burnley had a few corners, and it was very tempting, but I stuck with backing Lincoln.
