Aye it was 10-1 at kick off, and then went out to 25/1 near the end. I only bet small, it's just a bit of fun if I happen to be watching. It keeps me smiling.
I wonder if Rhead will remember to take Barton out of his pocket. They probably want him for the interview.
Don't agree that Sr Silva knew nowt about the Prem Leg, I think he's a bit shrewder than that. Don't have a second team myself, never have. The first season we went up to the Prem 2008, I think we were everyone's 2nd team without a doubt (aside Yorkshires second team). Couldn't move for fooking well wishers wanting us to do well, especially at the start of the season. Tailed off a bit after our 'novelty' value gradually wore off.
A second/third team doesn't have to be something big, just a club you feel like looking out for their results for a while. Anyway really enjoyed hearing about Burton beating Forest at the weekend. The Forest chairman tried to poach their manager (Nigel Clough) only a few weeks ago. Now Burton go ahead of them in the league and they are in relegation trouble.
I wonder as well that because we've always been an underdog club, one with potential but not really given respect, that we could be more likely to get behind other clubs that also aren't given respect but who have aspirations.
Walking out of Everton a load above us were shouting " going down! " I looked up and got eye contact with one and just mouthed " no we're not " he shrugged and smiled! I've always liked Everton
Bloody 'ell that's cold. Did you roll a cigar from one side of your mouth to the other, then flick your poncho to one side revealing a glistening flask?
