It appears that Roberto Soldado is due to sign for Fenerbahce from Villarreal for €10m. He's 32 now and seems to have had some real injury issues, too. Hope it works out for him.
Another goal for Clint Dempsey, this time with bonus flamethrowers: Something special from Milos Veljkovic: Incredible finish.
Jacques Maghoma scored for Birmingham yesterday. Can't find any gifs of it, because r/soccer equates the Championship with socialism.
Josh Onomah played almost 80mins of Villa's limp defeat to Cardiff, a game that Bruch admitted was probably the most embarrassing he'd ever presided over. I sometimes worry whether Villa was the right choice for the lad. The atmosphere there is still quite toxic and the squad is still a bloated mess of overpaid journeymen. And I don't rate Bruce at all. Lovely bloke who'd be great to watch a game with down the pub, but useless as a manager. Time will tell but I get nervous that some loan deals can backfire and ruin a young player's confidence and self-belief.
Dimitar Berbatov is due to join Robbie Keane in India, but not at the same side, unfortunately. He will line up alongside former teammate Wes Brown at Kerala Blasters, who are managed by one of their former Man Utd coaches. Rene Meulensteen recently took over there, replacing the departed Steve Coppell. Here's a clip from the Bulgarian waxing lyrical about his striker partner during their time at WHL:
Kevin-Prince Boateng is being Kevin-Prince Boateng once again, as he's thanked Las Palmas for giving him an opportunity (and having a pretty good season off the back of it) by having his contract rescinded so he could flounce off to Eintracht Frankfurt. In non-dickhead former Spur news, Michael Dawson scored for Hull last night in their 3-2 loss to Wolves.
I like Siggy but football has lost it's mind. £45m? No insult to him but at least Walker has been the best or 2nd best player in his position in the league but Siggy is not and will not be. And he will be on massive wages too. Truly insane...reminds me of when city first got rich and were throwing money round like confetti.
I love a wedding. Especially the one between their wage bill and Adebayor. < a match made in heaven >
