Such a nice gesture, although they've now issued statements asking people not to flood blood banks, they have all they need.

This happened in a lobby accessible to the public, the R1 site will be completely closed off to all but ticket holders so anyone on the site will have been checked. Obviously there's never going to be zero risk but its substantially safer. As a parent its your job to worry but your lads should be fine.

Rumour has it that shes cancelling the rest of her tour, who can blame her to be fair, it must be devastating to a performer.

Devastating yes, but she should really try and continue the tour. The ****s'll claim it as a victory if she cancels.

I think they will claim bigger victory by the deathcount unfortunately.

Shes only 23 herself, can imagine shes in no state to carry on the tour, no matter the message of defiance it would send to terrorists.

I agree it's a tough call - you really don't want to cancel cos they 'win', but also nobody would be in the celebratory mood for a pop concert, including the singer herself.

    So I'd cancel.

What sort of low life could carry out such an act were kids are, it is just imaginable what their parents are going through. These people should rot in hell for perpetuity.

I think Grande will be crushed by this. Doubt she could perform any time soon if she wanted to. It would be brave if she did but it's not the important thing and not a gesture worth making if it's too painful.

    Response to Manchester terror incident
Public safety remains our top priority
    23 May 2017

Following the tragic events that unfolded in Manchester yesterday, Assistant Chief Constable Andy McDyer said:

"Our deepest sympathies go out to all those affected by the tragic events in Manchester.

“At this stage we are not aware of any casualties from this area.

“I want to reassure the people of Hull, East Riding, North & North East Lincolnshire that their safety remains our top priority, including the security of events planned over the coming weeks, and of course the Radio 1 Big Weekend on Saturday and Sunday.

“There is no information suggesting an imminent threat to our area at this time. We are taking all possible steps to keep people safe and to minimise the risk of a terrorist attack occurring in our force area.

“The public will see an enhanced policing presence, including armed police, across Humberside as the UK police, together with security and intelligence services, work around the clock to keep communities safe.

“Acts of terrorism attempt to create distrust and fear in communities. It is important that our communities stand together during difficult times.

“It is also important that we all continue to remain vigilant, but also to go about our daily lives. We would ask people to be alert and report any suspicious activity to police on the Anti-Terrorist Hotline 0800 789321 or dialling 999

"The easy-to-remember national guidance of Run, Hide, Tell, explains what people should do if they are confronted by terrorists.

"First 'Run' to a place of safety. This is a far better option than trying to surrender or negotiate. If there is nowhere to run then 'hide'. It is better to hide than confront. Remember to turn your phone to silent and turn off vibrate. Barricade yourself in if you can. Then finally, and only when it is safe to do so, 'tell' by calling police on 999".

    They already have won
    Why?

Because people in europe cannot go to a concert or an event without risk of being killed

I truly despair and cannot even begin to imagine the heartache, the incomprehensible devastation families are feeling right now

Why are some humans just so evil, i just feel gutted
