    It's time we followed the NFL and implemented their clear bag policy at all stadiums and arenas, some of the bags people take into these venues are ridiculous, you'd think they were going camping not attending a concert for a couple of hours.

    Give the security a chance to search bags properly instead of having to root around in oversized overflowing backpacks.

    Bags are searched on the way into the MEN, a witness on the radio this morning said they think the bomber was in a public area just outside the venue.

    Yeah exactly. And if they started searching outside the foyer then the bomber would've just been at Victoria as the thousands caught public transport. All it does is move the incident and it could've easily been much worse.

    The bomber probably mingled with hundreds of other parents waiting to pick up their kids and simply walked unchallenged into the foyer area.

    The worrying thing is it makes security searches on entry into events pointless if someone can simply walk up after a concert or football match and
    mingle with exiting fans.

    Maybe not but that's not the point. The point is bag searching at a cordon around the venue would simply move the incident.

    even tho on this occasion it was outside and searches no use , On the odd occasion you do get searched going into football , you usually hear people moaning , to be honest I have before -no longer tho , happily que for an extra 10/15 minutes

    People become frustrated because they feel that the searching is not motivated by public safety concerns but by an ongoing anti football fan agenda.
    When they search/hassle people at Glyndebourne, Henley and Burleigh like they do football crowds, I'll start to believe it isn't.
