What's the most extreme thing you lot have done? I'm terrified of heights so I've never done anything ridiculous like Bungey jumps or sky dives, but I know some of you will have done that, Billy and Rog for sure... I also hate the sea/ocean so I won't do any of that stuff, I'm not being chased by a shark... that's not sport. Stuff you'd like to do if you had the chance... What about near death experiences? Grab a chair, tell us your stories...
. No. I will sit this one out. I am interested though. But i will admit one thing. I am now wary of heights. Why. **** knows.
Because you have a near-death experience almost every day? Whether it's a dodgy road, swerving out the way of a stray pack of goats, putting your todger inside a bear-trap of a whore, avoiding snakes and scorpions. Extreme sports for you, just means you have to pay her a bit more
For me, the trainasium was more terrifying than the actual jumps. Scary ****ing place. I honestly thought I would fail the course. Got through in the end.
What is it just jumping off big ledges onto big inflatables for practice? I say 'just' obviously I'd fill my duds at anything more than 7ft high and start crying.
True. I just wanted to read others first. There has been a few times when i thought what the **** am i doing. One was going iff a bridge outside inverness in a canoe. And praying you pop back up. I will leave it at that for now.
Done a reverse bungey but your sat down so I wouldn't compare it to having to jump off a ledge. Abseiling freaked me out. Had to do it on a stag do of all places and I was just hanging/swinging off this rock face crying "when are we going for a beer".
After basic training I was 'invited' and by that was ordered to try out for Para Fd Amb. ...I know it's not the real Paras etc etc. After a week or so of beastings (I was a fit ****er in the day) we done the obstacle course then that ****ing horrible, scary, ranshackled thing they called the trainasium; couldn't do it and was immediately binned.
You bob back up but unfortunately you're the wrong way round and upside down in the water, just waiting for either somebody to tip you back upright or death
Til you back up. Oh to be so lucky. Im still laughing at drums experience at abseilling. I know how he felt at times.
I must admit to getting a very small stonk on at doing 200ft free abseils out of a lynx. When it was for fun.
I fell in a river in flood one Christmas when I was about 10. My Dad had to dive in and drag me out. Since then I've been terrified about swimming but a couple of years ago I was having a bad spell in life and decided I wanted to do something to test myself- decided to try scuba diving. Went diving on the block ships in Scapa Flow. Done it a couple of times now and its bloody amazing.
