No I meant Western World http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4280540/ I got the year wrong it is 2017 I've seen Westworld and the TV spin-off.
Went to see a film yesterday with a Dunkirk theme called "Their Finest". We enjoyed it but would not be Ellewood's cup of tea. My uncle, evacuated form Dunkirk, was a nervous wreck after the experience. Subsequently released from the army and ended up here in Aus with his family in the 50's.
Sometimes a bad product can still be an enjoyable watch, provided expectations are summarily adjusted beforehand. Maybe the synthesis of bad ingredients can yield something palatable. You know, like the reuben. I watched the entire miniseries Texas Rising earlier this year. ( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3598496/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1 ) As the first review says, the acting is bad, the script is bad, the accents are bad, the scenery doesn't look like Texas at all, and the history is fraught with errors. As a student of the Texas revolution the latter particularly galls me. Still, I enjoyed the series, probably because it hasn't been covered in film before (though a bit was covered in the most recent Alamo film with Dennis Quaid as General Sam Houston).
Watched 'Get Out' t'other night, I was all prepared for it to be garbage based on the title alone, I was wrong it was a brilliant film and kept you thinking long after it'd ended. A definite 9/10 for me.
Just noticed your avatar, I have poor eyesight these days, but isn't that a still from The Great Escape?
The West Wing. Can't recall why, but this passed us by. From S1Ep1 ... the ride begins, hope it's as good as they say.
Watched Metro Manila today. Set in the Philippines but written and directed by a Brit. Grim but gripping story. Try it out.
