We watched that last night. For some reason I had low expectations but really enjoyed it. Good film that.
Continuing the theme of watching films I've already seen and really liked, tonight's offering is a bit different to what I've seen for the last few nights, with that in mind.... Day 233, film 233," super 8".... Just thought... I really am getting early stage dementia.... Watched the Martian last night....doh !!!!!!
On Sky 1 now, the classic line "I have had it with these motherfucking snakes on this motherfucking plane!" has just been uttered.
Just seen an ad for a drama on film 4 tomorrow night called "watchman", not sure if it was a film but it looked good, I'll record it and watch it after darts. Gonna watch a film during the day, look and see what's on Netflix I think...
Over the past few hours, I have watched The Big Lebowski and Psycho, and now I am about to watch a bit of Buster Keaton, with Sherlock Jr.
Yes, 'tis very good. Another engrossing "true" story ---- I have been engrossed in the "Battlefield" TV series for the last couple of days. Four series worth of documentaries on iconic and decisive battles of WW2 & Vietnam. Just a dry voice over archive footage with nothing revelatory and no new analysis. But they concisely present all available factual aspects of a battle in a single manageable chunk. Much previously unseen original footage is included but they do stretch it out a bit thin by often repeated résumés. But that's modern TV for you. All available on YouTube. Getting battle weary now though. I will hopefully Escape to Victory with the football tonight.
**** this for a game of soldiers, the remote's mine tonight, no chick flick on my bloody telly tonight... Day 236, film 236," no country for old men"... Love this film, an angry Mrs mop has just stormed off to bed... Cheeky cow said its a **** film,
How dare she. Decided to feed my journalistic side, have watched All the President's Men and Spotlight today. Both absolutely fantastic films. About to watch The Big Short, another great film.
Spotlight is the best film of 2015 for certain. Felt that the minute I first saw it, even moreso now.
Just watched/endured `Son of Saul`....blimey!..about as close to Hell on Earth ever depicted on film.
