First of all, can I just say that at the moment i'm preferring the original 606. There were fewer idiots coming across to our board on there. It seems every decent thread is okay for a few posts then just descends into some unholy bitching competition. Lets try and stick to proper City threads that concern the club rather than bickering with other fans. Secondly, I came on here to say that even though there is a lot of Harper bashing that goes round, I do believe he does a job in the midfield. Against TWS away he had a good game and did his best (lacking fitness) to boss the midfield. And, it was actually his run to the front of the box that got us that goal to draw. I don't think many of you can disagree that he is improving aswell. I think NP may consider giving him the captaincy and that wouldn't be so bad. I reckon he'll play well tonight and hopefully quieten some doubters. Anyway, looking forward to tonight but very nervous aswell. Get a result and a push on for the playoffs is on the cards. 3-0 to city (If the defence doesn't do anything stupid). UTT
how many times in the last 3 seasons have we scored 3 or more home goals? over to you. I don't actually know the answer but I think it would certainly be less than 3 separate occasions
this season 0 games last season 2 in the league 1 in league cup season before 0 promotion season 5 doesn't make for the best of reading to be honest. take out our promotion season and in the last 70 or so games at home it's only happened twice in the league.
2009/2010 - 3 vs Southend, 3 vs West Ham, 3 vs Everton 2008/2009 - None 2007/2008 - 3 vs Ipswich, 3 vs Barnsley, 3 vs Preston, 5 vs S'oton, 3 vs Watford (League), 4 vs Watford (Play Off Semi) 2006/2007 - 4 vs Cardiff, 4 vs Southend,
Wow thats quite a record, depressing for the season ticket holders but not all good games needs a mass of goals. Of your list Bootherry_Legend the 4 against Watford (play off semi) are the fondest in the memory.
I remember the 5 against Southampton. By the end of that I swear I saw Ash hit a crossfield 50 yard hollywood pass.
Yes it's amazing what a little confidence can do. I also went to the away trip earlier in the season when they whooped us 4-0, not our best performance!!! But what an end to a great season
the five against southampton will live long in my memory, as a bryan hughes hater for the full season, i predicted a 4-0 home win....then up popped hughes! devastated to loose out on about ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã200 winnings! never before have i been so angry at a city goal!
