No idea Guy..relying on BBC text..think the small squad is going to catch up with us at the final hurdle!
To be honest, I'm not sure League 1 would be good for us. I think we would be straight back down again.
Agree Ron..I still have reservations about us going up with both the playing and financial implications it would bring. I don't see us winning the playoffs as we are just too tired now
Shame. Let's hope Sarfend by Bury or they draw on Tues night. We desperately need the full week to try and get some treatment for our massively depleted squad
Does Pierre miss just the one game? Have to hope on a Bury-Southend draw on Tuesday. Out of hands now but if it is a draw all we need to do is win the last two games!! Should we be able to field a side that is......
Our physio will earn his wages this week for sure, did a great job in getting players able to play today as G A said some of them were playing with knocks.
What was really annoying on Sky Sports this afternoon Jeff Stelling kept on about Bury & Southend both have a game in hand dumb cluck could'nt work out that they both can not win it that is the one thing in our favour at the moment
Unfortunately we just weren't at the races today, and a draw was probably a fair result, if anything Wimbledon slightly shaded it on the back of the last 20 minutes. The squad was always going to be tested at some point in the season with injuries & tiredness, and unfortunately that has hit us just at the wrong time. As I've just said on the Gasroom, we should not forget where we were 12 months ago; I for one thought we were dead and buried. It is entirely possible that we can dig ourselves out of a rut again and find the form to send us up, but even if we don't, it has been a remarkable season. We would've snapped the hand off anyone who offered us a guaranteed playoff place back in August, so lets not be too disappointed if we do end up in League 2 for another season. Our time will come soon enough, I am sure of it. Credit should be given to the large majority of the travelling fans today, even when we were struggling to hold on in the last 20, there were very few moans when we lost possession etc., but rather constantly chanting to try and get the boys over the line, which Gaz was evidently pleased with at the final whistle. Onto Morecambe we go, hopefully with a little helping hand from Southend on Tuesday!
We just weren't at the races when we needed to be today, but with half a squad that's what you have to expect. losing bloomfield so early was a blow, and a complete lack of attacking options off the bench didn't help either. For Tuesday we need to pray for a draw or southend win, both of which are very possible. If bury win it I unfortunately think its probably game over. Tom, was great to go to the game with you again but not another 0-0!! one of these days we will see a goal....
Yeah was great to see you again as well Joe, trust me to choose two of the poorest away games (in terms of quality) to go to in this half of the season
