Except that it isn't. Saw Eddie Floyd live at Leeds in 1967. He was awful. Though Knock On Wood was a classic.
This bloke did some good stuff. Came across him because Solomon Burke covered a couple of his songs. Hard to believe that whilst we were, or rather our parents, were listening to bland rubbish on the BBC in 1950, there was stuff like this in the US.
Aye, it's the time lag between here and there. I did hear it at a party in 1956 however Beat that Bet Quillski's parents weren't even born !!
