I remember reading Fran saying that before long someone born this century will be playing in the Premiership. Well, not quite the PL but a 15-year old played for Exeter yesterday in League 2, He could play only because it's the school holidays. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37031482
Hopefully, think they deserve a crack at the PL. A very well run club n more south coast representation can only be a good thing. Edit - also really rate Hughton n think he deserves another go too.
I mentioned the player in another thread, Tammy Abraham who is knocking in the goals for Bristol City. I did suggest Saints get him on loan in that thread or get him signed. Could he be the next Andy Cole who makes his name with a Championship club before becoming a major PL player?
It's obviously far, far, far too early to question Rafa's position at Newcastle (not least because I suspect they'll still be very active in the transfer window, in and out, over the next two and a bit weeks), but if they were to find themselves needing a new manager then I guess you wouldn't have to look beyond Steve Bruce.
Bloody hell it could be worse. Sheffield United the pre season favourites for promotion are 3 nil down at home to Southend after 15 minutes. You have to laugh* Skates 1 down too. *sorry Vin!
Why did we send Gallagher there?! Would have been better loaning him to a good League One side than a terrible championship side. (At least on football manager )
Anybody else noticed that Ched Evans has scored 4 goals in his first 3 league games for Chesterfield? (admit I only looked up how he was getting on as the loan watch on the OS mentioned he scored 2 against Jason McCarthy and Walsall in midweek).
Hardly suprising he's a very decent striker at that level. Also saw that he's scored in 10 league games in a row, although with around a 3 year gap in between...
Turnbull is not off to the best of starts...with Coventry up 1-0, he pulled a player down in the box, conceding a pen and earning a red. They lost, 3-1.
Attention @fran-MLs little camera ! A Fulham player made history today by becoming the first player born in the year 2000 to score a goal in the Championship.
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...d-and-honoured-as-he-unveils-newcastle-statue Alan Shearer has a statue at Newcastle. I don't think it particularly looks like him but he seems pleased.
We seem to suffer from having statues in our forward line at the moment, very little movement where it is needed.
