I hope we don't, but there's plenty of decent sized clubs in League 1 (Peterborough, Bolton, etc) so it's still far better than League 1. Plus, after being in league 2 for 4 years, it'll be nice to play some teams we haven't played in years. Sticker albums with 2nd division teams in? Gosh... The ones I had when I was a kid were Premier League only. I remember my first one was the 1997/98 Merlin Premier League sticker album (or possibly 1998/99, but I think I got it before the World Cup 98 sticker album). I remember it had a gold cover.
They have been going like a train for a while. They were a long way behind the top 6 at the beginning of March. How they have seized the opportunity. You would think that Reading and Huddersfield have sufficient points meaning it will be between Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds for the final play-off place. I said many weeks ago to put a trip to Craven Cottage in your diaries next season. Beautiful walk along the Thames, wonderful pub lunch followed by 3 points for Southampton. I believe their player, Sessegnon, is on the verge of signing a full professional contract and he's only 16. Maybe he has just turned 17.
Leeds losing Want burton to stay up and Leeds not to come up, though I think Fulham are nailed on for the playoffs regardless of who else gets in
Jeff Stelling really is a bell end who thinks he is some football guru because he reads out who scored a goal on a Saturday
Birmingham to be relegated? Good win for Briz'ol City today!! Well done Bolton. Old ones here remember our games with them in 78-79. I went to Burden Park that season and saw the best 0-0 I have seen. Bolton fans gave grief to the great Alan Ball all afternoon. He didn't mind though!!! Alan Ball was a model footballer that all youngsters should take after. Hard working very skillful and yet he continuously worked on these.
You'll be pleased to know my girlfriend really enjoyed her first Portsmouth game, and really enjoyed the atmosphere and got into it. She even wanted to go into the megastore afterwards to get some Pompey memorabilia and wore (of her own violation) my Pompey flag (one of those large ones that aren't on poles)
Missed the rant this time, but have caught others. He never used to do this.....he must think he's a comedian We are talking about someone wrapping herself in a Pompey flag.....violation just about sums it up.
Sky should sack him for abuse of position. His job is to report on the football, not to use us privileged position to push his personal agenda.
Exactly, extremely unprofessional for me. Shouldn't be doing that at all as it's not his place... wonder what Pools fans made of it.
These rants of his seem to be getting more frequent. I think the fact that a producer tells him witty little puns on players names that are super funny to say on TV has got to his head. Nobody gives a **** about your opinions on football Jeff, just tell me who scored.
Stelling is popular and does his job....though has shown a tendency to rant recently....he had a go at us, didn't he? Hardly a sacking offence....a warning to watch himself in future would be enough.
