It's about time they stopped picking these overpaid pricks and started picking players who actually show they want to be there. It's almost embarrassing now. They made France, even with 10 men, look like champions of the universe. They might do worse than to put out the U20 side in place of these. The one who is so aptly named Dier was Dire. At times he looked like he hadn't kicked a football before. Another waste of several hours of my life.

Dier played the whole game against Wycombe and I thought then "Why is he playing for England?" As you say greeny, it was embarrassing. And I have to face people today.

Sorry this is slightly off topic but can anyone explain why Everton don't buy Rooney and Hart. Surely then Barkley and Lukaku would sign contract extensions. Then they could buy a world class centre back and they would have a very strong spine of the team. All this for £40-50 mil.

Or they could buy Pickford for £30mil.

Pickford has signed a five year deal and they signed Ajax Captain Davy Klaassen a midfielder for £23.6 m also on a five year deal.

I appreciate that these two players have sell on value which is very important to clubs now, but Rooney and Hart would add experience and maybe make Everton more attractive to more big name players. It seems like a no brainier to me....

Rooney & Hart probably want to be paid too much money. I listened to Sean Dyche on radio 5 some time ago & he was saying it is not the transfer fee it is the wages you have to be really careful about

I guess that makes perfect sense, Pickford wouldn't want anywhere near as much as Hart.
