I didn't know it was this weekend but I highly recommend Spring King who are playing in an hour's time and Public Service Broadcasting who are on tomorrow.
We have visitors from London this weekend so treating them with a bit of culture tomorrow night, went a couple of years back and really enjoyed it
It was good tonight, enjoyed it Very quiet though. No queues for beer even !!! Opening thing on the River Hull was good, although started late so annoyed me as I missed another band I wanted to see. Good when it started though...singers, lighting, fireworks and a lighthouse on a barge Black Delta Movement were great, top Hull band James Taylor Quartet were absolutely fantastic ( although there were seven of them !) I'm there tomorrow for my nephews band and then really looking forward to Public Service Broadcasting later on I'm as cultured as **** !
Apparently there's some culture going down at the Highway Pub tomorrow night with a decent band. They are a bit more heritage than contemporary culture mind but worth checking out! Even later on!
James Taylor Quartet were absolutely fantastic ( although there were seven of them !) dennis...was it the james taylor? if so i saw him live at the crystal palace bowl around 1973.he was then married to carly simon [godess] who was rumoured to be making an aperence but did,nt cos she was preggers.
Id heard they were older than the Rolling Stones but use the same approach online to boost their sales....
No I think you mean the American one This was the English James Taylor. http://www.jamestaylorquartet.co.uk/newsite/index.php Jazztastic !
