Yeah i know what you mean, what people see as funny is probably the most varied avenue to explore.
I can only answer with some films i loved/liked over my life:

    Something about Mary
    Blazing Saddles
    Airplane
    Bad Grandpa
    Spy
    American Pie
    Groudhog Day
    Team America

Do you mean Bad Grandpa the Jackass one or Dirty Grandpa with De Niro? Cos Dirty Grandpa was very funny, the Jackass one was awful (imo).

Ok, so try War Dogs, Wedding Ringer, 21 Jump Street, Pain and Gain, Hitch... none of them are side splittingly funny but worth a watch.

The one film I have laughed uncontrollably at is Four Lions.

This is, without doubt, the funniest film that I've ever seen. I've watched it dozens of times and I'll, hopefully, watch it a dozen times more

Only Billy Connolly (Billy and Albert) has made me cry more :emoticon-0100-smile

Fair play, unless it's in a film actors are better not seen and not heard for that reason.

I can't fathom the popularity of that celebrity lip sync battle show, it tries very hard to be funny but it's tumbleweed to me.
