Wouldn't surprise me if Hull vs Huddersfield is on the usual Friday night first game of the season slot. In fact, having looked into it. I think Leeds vs Burnley is nailed on.
It'll definitely involve one of the relegated teams, for sure. I hope Burnley, I want a Saturday 3pm kick off.
BBC Humberside Sport @HumbersideSport As a result of the Wolves fixture change, Hull City's home game with Fulham will now be played 24 hours later on Wed 19 Aug (7.45pm)
They are a massive club. Their team is awful, but they're one of the best supported teams in the country. Certainly the best supported in the Football League.
I realise that, but they're obviously not just picking them on club size, Wednesday only have one game and Burnley have two.
Wolves now a noon kickoff on the 15th. Fulham moved back to the 18th. And we thought we were leaving this crap behind when we got promoted to the Championship. Sorry -- missed the other thread. Please delete or merge.
Well no, they're picking them on a variety of things. Clearly. I imagine that club size is the main factor but the story surrounding the game would also be one. Which is why you often see newly relegated/promoted teams, in form teams, teams under heavy scrutiny and the like on tele.
I might be missing something, but currently home attendances at Derby and Brighton are higher than Leeds(as was Norwich last season).
