Nobody can deal with the pressure at that club. In their last 26 managers, only 2 have managed 3 seasons: Mourinho and Del Bosque. You can have a great season, you can even win the CL or La Liga and still get sacked. You can never win over the club to be honest at Madrid.

Agree with that, a very good manager who many underrate, but in that high pressure environment that is Real Madrid? Don't see it ending well particuarly where Barca have such a strong attack at present.

I remember how Alex Ferguson had him in his pocket, in terms of the mind games involved. Benitez looked damaged in front of the cameras at times. Still, there's no doubt he's good/great. His European record at Liverpool illustrates that.

Yeah i was just about to say how he's already shown how he can crack under pressure, everyone must remember his 'facts' rant. I actually think he'd be a decent option for Liverpool now, he'd sort that defence out. He may even make Lovren look like a footballer again.

I was more angry about the whole situation than upset, it almost spoiled Comic Con for me. Almost, but didn't.

It isn't a surprise because it is Real Madrid, but it is bloody stupid. World class manager, and they are going to replace him with, albeit a good manager in his own right, somebody he isn't as good in Rafa Benitez.

    Noted. :)

I see my comment, based on memory, about Chelsea traditionally being the 3rd London club behind Arsenal and Spurs was not false. Looking at the leagues [they go all the way to Div 4] answers the odd question as to why I can look at a club and wonder why it is doing so well or not, because my gut feeling is based on my earliest impressions of them when I was a kid and took a damn sight more interest in football generally than I do now.

And although Swansea and Brentford are the biggest overachievers, guess who's right up there with them..? AFC Bournemouth.

Just noticed this. Istanbul Basaksehir 2 Fenerbahce 2. Fenerbahce got 4 red cards. The first for a stamp. The second for a block with the upper arm on the line. Third for dissent. Fourth for a flying kick. Istanbul missed the penalty at the end. Interesting game.

Blimey they were 2-0 down to0.

Still, that's how I play FIFA against my son when he is whooping me, getting men sent off for kicking the **** out of his team. I never get the 2-2 draw though
