The Ansbach bar bomber had pledged allegiance to the leader of Islamic State in a video found on his mobile phone, officials say.

They said the 27-year-old man talked of "revenge" in the footage and German police found chemicals, gasoline and other materials at his home that could be used to build another bomb.

IS said he carried out the attack in response to calls to target coalition countries fighting the militant group.

Joachim Herrmann, Bavaria's interior minister, said: "He expressly announces, in the name of Allah, and testifying his allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a famous Islamist leader, an act of revenge against the Germans because they're getting in the way of Islam.

So he doesn't get asylum and resorts to this as I think they typically do..

But I have bolded the bit that I think is sinister, failed asylum when expected to get it, the words of Daish that they would put thousands of fighters in Europe in the migrant stampede, Germany getting in the way of their Islam, not much to figure out is there..

Not jumping the gun here but it sounds like a neo-nazi revenge attack, there's going to be some serious **** in Germany soon. I worked out there and lived for a good few years, there's no way the people will accept what's happening in their Country, it will get bad..

 

Was thinking a few days ago that whilst there has been restraint from revenge attacks even by the most right in the UK, I doubted wether the like in Germany would be so patient. As Joe says , it could get very bad in Germany, hope the Germans realise though that it would play right into the hands of IS and their publicity and recruitment people.

 

Frau Merkel has a lot to answer for, Viktor Orban was saying a couple of years ago what would happen..

It will get bad, I have seen their right wing sections in full flow first hand. Their motto will be to run every last one out of the Country after making their lives hell and tackle the problem from there..

What I meant was that IS want to expand their holy war across the world. They've made no secret of that. Best way to do that is to create unrest and provoke retaliations against muslims which will then increase recruitment to their cause.

Its what any good guerilla movement does. The Viet Cong were masters of that.

They're doing a bloody good job about it as well, even while they're losing ground in the middle east.
