I'm furious after last night. He needs to go. We can't have these kinds of results and this kind of positivity around the club. He's ruining my experience of being a QPR supporter. How the hell am I supposed to talk about imminent relegation and bellow out calling for a manager's head two weeks after each appointment if when we keep racking up points like this. It's so depressing that I'm not allowed to be depressed about QPR right now. At least I can try and find small faults in all the players and the tactics for the time being but this can't go on.
As soon as we saw the first game with him I knew we'd improve. I said at the time that we could get any manager in, even Sir Alex Ferguson, we'd have had similar results. And that's because QPR has deep rooted problems under the surface. The footballing culture and confidence at the club have been shot to pieces over the last few years. At the moment at least, the key thing that needed fixing was attitude and spirit. Ollie is as good a choice as any, especially considering his and Bircham's history with us. And with that said, Ollie's tactics are by no means the worst. He's not bad at all and has shown it in the past. We seem to be in good hands and I believe they're the right hands for the foreseeable future.
I do think we needed someone who could come in and shake things up. On paper our team looked weak last night but they played as a team and had a plan. Hopefully this mini run may help attract some players to our club who feel we have a positive future.
I wasn't really present on the boards that much at the time. But the people I sit with had to hear it several time.
I did say these things, though: http://www.not606.com/threads/interesting-article-on-holloway.339203/#post-9924751 http://www.not606.com/threads/just-back.339588/#post-9956035
My comments were Interesting as well. Funny I said back then we would be more worried about relegation? Spooky!
I'd give him another game now! What is the name of the new coach with no hair we got from Hartlepool -Curtis Flemming? Our improvement particularly in shape and organisation particularly defensively, seems to have improved since his arrival. I have noticed that Holloway is also listening to him a lot during games as he seems to give him advice/ make suggestions.
I wanted to say that but thought people would think I was making excuses. Hollow kept saying 'we' and I noticed he was chatting to him a lot when the camera was on him. However, if it helps us win I don't mind.
40% win rate now for Ollie (excluding the League Cup). I think that'd the best we've had for some time. If he can maintain that for the rest of the season, that's 56 points. I think we'd settle for that for this season.
I dunno what all this crowing and 'nah nah nah.....my football knowledge is better than yours' bollox is all about to be honest. I'm just glad Ollie (who ain't that great a manager if we're honest) is getting some results at last and that Mackie (who again, if we're being honest, ain't going to a top class prem side in the near future) is scoring at last. I might not rate who's in charge or rate who our strikers are, but if the results keep coming and OUR team keep winning, I'll be more than happy. So let's just leave the playground, one upmanship for the playground, 'cos unfortunately it can come round and bite you in the arse.......
This all day long! 'NaH, nah, nah I told you so'. And if things go wrong? You won't hear any sheep bleating. Funnily I didn't see a thread like this when we lost 6 in a row?
I know this might be considered childish........but just to emphasise a point.......(And I promise, it's NOT meant as an attack on the OP)
