Nearly sold out already. Some of the clueless idiots on the HDM site showing their ignorance of life outside their little world in Hull. Won 't be a success because people in Hull don't have money, most of his fans are pensioners so won't be able to afford it. They don't think some pensioners actually have more disposable income than young people with a mortgage and kids and that people from outside Hull will travel to see someone of his stature (though because they don't like him he doesn't have the stature of the second rate bands they happen to like). Will be interesting to read MarkBrady65's comments when it sells out.
Don't think he made that his own though. Think Etta James and Chicken Shack versions are better. Come to that I prefer Chris Farlowe's Handbags and Gladrags. Saw Chris Farlowe's at Brid Spa in 1966. One of best acts I've seen. Only about 800 there. Following Saturday some one hit wonder band had 4,000 to see them.
According to Mark Brady65 it wouldn't as he wasn't as big an attraction as the people he would have preferred. According to others it wouldn't sell out because most of his fans are pensioners (wrong there) and pensioners have no money (wrong again) and can't afford the prices. A lot of people in Hull seem totally unaware of what goes on outside their little circle. As I said previously, they seem unaware that over 65s have money, irrelevant as a lot of people hoping will be far younger, and that what the situation is in Hull doesn't matter anyway as they seem unaware that people will travel from far and wide to see Rod Stewart although he doesn't meet with their approval. Not to mention, a lot of pensioners will have more energy than younger people in places like North Ferriby.
'A lot' seems to be less than five people that may or may not even be from Hull. A sweeping generalisation to criticise a sweeping generalisation.
This North Ferriby pensioner will be on his Yamaha R1 on the Isle of Man for the TT before then riding the same R1 over to Holland for the Dutch MotoGP Unless I can persuade the Mrs that I need one of these before then please log in to view this image
I saw Rod at a sold out 15000 concert at my local racecourse in 2011. What is the capacity for concerts at the KC? It was a great venue for him because within 5 minutes of coming off stage he was flying off in an helicopter.
£112k is the price I have been quoted ........ what supercar can you get with similar performance & at what price (£500k+)? I do a lot of track days around Europe so it would be well used ..... yes the price is high but it's a very exclusive machine It was a little tongue in cheek but I am seriously considering the Kawasaki H2 at the bargain price of £22k
One of the Willie Woods regulars has the H2, he loves it's raw power and mental noise but for track days his last ride, the R1 that you ride, is far superior. Thinking aloud - mebbe your good lady will see the sense in owning both?
Hmmmmm.....not so sure as I picked up a near mint 1982 RD350LC with only 1150 miles on the clock & full documentation to confirm 3 weeks ago for just under £5k ....not sure how she would feel about me having 4 bikes (I also have a KTM450 SXF as a runabout)
....now for something completely different.. same theme...Fleetwood Mac... ....Oh Well !... I tried ...The Green Manalishi... http://www.b50.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4461 http://www.triumphrat.net/members/25303-the-green-manalishi.html ...a Triumph in its own right...
...continuing the bike-music theme... ...865 years later... ...Vincent.... ...and the Chief...leader of the pack ? ...bloody hell...anyone remember this bugger ? ..it certainly was...
