I was very encouraged by the performance at Bradford last week. Yes, defending is still a problem, but the formation looked positive, everyone looked as if they knew what their jobs were, and the workrate was excellent on a very heavy pitch. There were a couple of occasions when the interplay in midfield was of a very high standard, although the relative lack of ultimate skill (and we're comparing good with outstanding here) meant that moves broke down earlier than they would have had the top teams in Europe tried the same thing, understandably so, but if it was glimpse of things to come then things are beginning to look up. If everyone has recovered I can't see why the same team shouldn't start this week.
