Most of Moyes ex players seem to rate him and as we've seen with Vic and Piernaer they do perform. Lescorts experience and attitude may help on and off the pitch. I'm being positive here and will trust Moyes decisions - he needs to have our continued backing and 3pts tomorrow
Must admit I thought Anichebe was a makeshift signing. I didn`t expect the contribution and certainly not the impact. Hope I`m as pleasantly surprised by Lescott.
Said at the time he's the type of player we needed and that there's more to being a forward than scoring goals. We can keep the ball in the opponents half with him on the pitch. something we can't do without. People could finally see what he was going to bring once he got playing, when he got injured it really hit home. I'm not confident Lescott would be a success like i thought with Vic but he'd have my support knowing Dave doesn't have two sticks to rub together.
I see nothing wrong with short term signings who have played for Moyes in the past, knows what he wants and expects from them and will fit into his style of play immediately. Free signings, ready fit and made to measure. Short term! No brainer.
Id never ridicule at a match mate. This place is just somewhere to come and vent frustration at the sorry state of affairs of our club. Aek Athens have just cut short Lescotts contract and now hes training with us with a view to playing against some of the best players in the world. Anichibe made alot of people eat his words. Hes never actually been a bad player though for Wba and Everton , he just cant seem to stay fit as we can see. Lescott was once a quality player in my opinion but as we saw at Villa last year hes out his depth now at the highest level. I dont blame Moyes for any of our problems at all. Hes doing all he can with the resources hes got.
Just waiting for the torrent of **** he'll see on twitter if he's announced. We're alright on here, he won't see this plus we can explain ourselves with out being limited to the amount of characters we can use. But he'll see the stuff on twitter and we never fail to make a situation worse on that site. It's worse than showing it in the ground on Twitter, as they can abuse people direct instead of shouting through a crowd.
Ive never used twitter mate but I see your point. Hopefully itll put fire in his belly. After his daft car Tweet he seems like a man that puts money first before football though. I hope he proves me wrong.
I think he knows how angry we all are so hes trying to soften the blow before we sign the likes of Lescott. His hands are tied. Like I said its not his fault, its that twat of a chairman.
I don't blame him at all Tees. I think we all know where the blame lies. At the same time there are ways of portraying a realistic position and playing a positive pitch. What sort of message is that for the squad behind him? It's hardly we're up against the wall lads but we'll ****ing show them is it!
Perhaps he's just saying what he wants because he knows he can't be sacked. He probably doesn't care, he's been lied to and treated like an idiot so I wouldn't blame him. He has a responsibility to the fans but so does the owner... Where's he hiding? Does he even go to games anymore?
Let's hope he's Steve Bould Mk2! Remember being underwhelmed cos he was past it when he signed and he was class
Always rated Lescott I just hope Moyes can get the best out of him if he can we will have a cracking player.
I don`t understand why he`s saying stuff like that. Telling players he`s trying to sign that the only reason he`s signing them is because they`re the bottom of the barrel and won`t make any difference anyway. I mean wtf? Doesn`t make sense on any level. I`d hate to think he carries that attitude into his team talks.
