Grimsby defender substituted with a striker. So they are going for it. Fingers crossed we can hit them on the break.

We only have to average 1.5 points a game and we can't be relegated. That's purely on a points basis. Of course, we could always be accused of cheating. Oh wait, they aren't in this League any more

We only need 2 points and we are safe 51pts is the most anyone has been relegated with and when orient go into administration both they and Newport would have to win just about all their games just to catch us

I don't understand Guy. Newport & Orient don't have to play each other so if they both win all their games they would end up with 62 and 65 points respectively. We now have 50 points with 11 games to play. To be mathematically safe we would need to secure 66 points leaving us 16 points to find. Obviously every defeat/daw for the 2 bottom teams reduces that 66 point target

Mind you I wouldn't envy Orient's next 3 matches in their position

Fancy scoring a winner with one of the opposition unconcious on the deck in the 6 yard box. What a load of cheats for christ sake.

(thought I'd oblige with the cheat thing so you don't feel abandoned )

The thought of Newport or Leyton Orient or for that matter Notts County winning all of their remaining matches is really funny. For one I can't see Newport winning more than maybe 2 or at a push 3 and given the way Orient are with luck they will get docked points and fade away anyway. Poor club, poor manager and poor players. Notts probably will stay up but can't see them tearing up chunks anytime soon.

Prior to Saturday we had dropped 17 points from our last 6 league games and we are still only 5 points off the play offs and 8 points off an auto slot. I find that amazing
