Matt Le Tissier is saying we need to get rid of two flops this season

The first of which is Sissoko, which is a fair assessment because he looks like a square peg for a xylophone at this point
The second is Lamela, because Le Tossier says he has failed to score or crate much this season - somehow missing the obvious fact that he's been injured for the majority of the season

It takes actual effort to get your facts wrong to that degree.

  3. Julia Keys has opened up about the 'telltale' sign that led her to discover her husband Richard may be secretly seducing another woman.

The 57-year-old says the Richard, 59, started behaving strangely "overprotective" with his mobile phone and allegedly began making secret calls and exchanging late-night texts.

This left his wife with a gut feeling that something was "going on".

Julia says she later discovered that the former Sky Sports presenter had been carrying out a romance with a younger woman, who just so happened to be a friend of their daughter.

Richard was pictured walking with 27-year-old Lucie Rose outside a five-star hotel in west London last month.

This prompted his furious wife of 34 years to claim that he had continued an affair with Lucie - their actress daughter Jemma's lawyer friend.

In her first interview since reports of the affair re-emerged, Julia alleges she caught her husband receiving late-night texts from the younger woman.

She describes how, during a trip to Cornwall, she ended up replying to a message from Lucie after it popped up on her spouse's phone.

At the time, Richard was asleep.

"Suddenly a message came through from Lucie saying, 'Are you OK?'. I took the phone and pretended to be Richard, and wrote 'No. I’m not,' Julia tells the Mail on Sunday .

"The response was, 'You sound so sad. I wish I was there to give you a big cuddle.' We went on messaging from there," she adds.

Julia claims that when she confronted her husband about the messages, he finally admitted that he had become "extremely close" to Lucie.

He had previously responded angrily and defensively when his wife had quizzed him about the way he was "dealing with his phone", it is alleged.

During the interview, Julia also explains how Lucie walked over to her and grabbed her by the arm during a birthday party for Richard.

"[She] said, 'Oh, are you going now, Julia?' It was the tone she used," the mum-of-two tells the newspaper. "That was the moment I knew."

Julia, who was diagnosed with cancer in 2009, says she was extremely upset after her husband finally admitted he had got "close" to Lucie.

A trained counsellor, she has now written a book called The Manscript , which helps readers to identify when their partner is cheating on them.

It also offers them advice on how to cope with an unfaithful relationship.

In her interview, Julia claims that working on the book actually helped her to realise her husband was showing classic symptoms of infidelity.

Last October, allegations emerged that Richard, who has two kids with Julia, had been having a fling with Lucie while working in Qatar.

The sports presenter later posted an update on his official Facebook page.

He said while his marriage had been "fairly turbulent" recently, the pair have "no desire to split up after 34 years together".

He wrote: "What an extra-ordinary 24 hours that has been."

Julia claims her lawyers persuaded her to back her husband after the claims got out.

However, she alleges that, two months later, she learned that Richard had planned to meet his younger lover during a business trip to Dubai.

A further two months on, she says she has been driven to "press the divorce button" after the recent photos of her husband and Lucie emerged.

But despite this, she maintains she and Richard have enjoyed "a happy marriage" lasting more than three decades, the Mail on Sunday reports.

Richard presented the Sky Sports coverage of Premier League football for 19 years before resigning in disgrace over sexist remarks he and co-presenter Andy Gray made off-air about match official Sian Massey.

In another studio conversation, which was filmed but not transmitted, the presenter asked pundit Jamie Redknapp about a former girlfriend: “Did you smash it?” – crude slang for: “Did you have sex with her?”

Julia's book, Manscript, will be released soon, The Telegraph reports.

A representative of Richard declined to comment to the newspaper.

Mirror Online has contacted Richard's representative and Lucie Rose for comment.

Not for the first time in his career, Frank Sinclair scores a calamitous own goal

So aside from using that repeatedly debunked idea that a player's actual quality is measured not in what they do on the pitch but the trophies they won, an argument obliterated by pointing out that Johan Cruyff never won a World Cup winner's medal yet Stephane Guivarc'h did, but considering he's employed both by Sky Sports and Chelsea TV his witty, insightful and grammatically correct tweet can also be construed as tapping-up

Why would anyone compare Kane to Fabregas? They not remotely alike. Kane's not a massive ****, for a start.

Pochettino to Barcelona, shriek the headlines after it's announced that Luis Enrique will fall on his sword at the end of the season.

Errm...did they check the odds before writing their headlines? According to desperate attention-seekers Paddy Power the odds are something like this:
    Jorge Sampaoli - 7/2
    Ronald Koeman - 4/1
Ernesto Valverde, Arsene *stifles laughter* Wenger - 5/1
    Laurent Blanc - 11/1
Mauricio Pochettino, Tomas Tuchel, Oscar Garcia - 14/1
Juan Carlos Unzue, Paco Jimez - 16/1
Diego Simeone, Frank De Boer, Carles Puyol - 20/1

Of course, one question screams loudest of all from this list: where are the odds for Mr Jurgen Norbert Klopp, or for that matter the sudden deluge of headlines shrieking Klopp to Barcelona at the top of their shrill, tinny voices?

A classic headline from clickbollocks merchants Football Insider...

GUILLEM BALAGUE SHARES WHAT COULD SWING BARCA BID TO PRISE POCHETTINO FROM BARCELONA

    Here's what Balague actually said...

“From a purely playing and man management point of view, Sampaoli of Sevilla certainly fits the bill...He is however perhaps a little too controversial and not quite the profile off the pitch that will resonate with the ‘men in suits’ that will eventually make the decision.

“Mauricio Pochettino of Spurs ticks the same boxes but both men are more than currently occupied with their present clubs and in truth Barcelona would much rather look to either a free agent or at least someone who is coming to the end of their contract.

“Koeman, another former player and now in the hot seat at Everton, has also been suggested as of course has Unzue, the current assistant manager.

“My money however would go on Valverde, a former Barcelona player, and currently in charge at Bilbao, although coming to the end of his contract.”

Note how the contents have NOTHING to do with the headline. It's almost as if there's a reason Football Insider doesn't have a comments section at the bottom of their articles...

And now Danny Murphy is repeating what Matt Le Tosser was saying a week or so ago, about how Lamela has failed to contribute this season. So for the benefit of pundits willing to volunteer an opinion about a player while missing an obvious reason why that opinion is utterly worthless, allow me to throw a little dictionary definition your way...

    injured
    adjective

    harmed, damaged, or impaired.
"Erik Lamela injured his hip in October, and has not played since then"

Former Spur and man of many colours, Teddy, has come out with the following:

"Tottenham wasn’t a stepping stone for me. I wanted to get to Tottenham and have what Harry Kane has got now.

"This has to be the most exciting time at Spurs since Terry Venables. There’s no need for Harry to go anywhere else.

"The way the club is going, it could be the biggest in London.

"Why would he want to go to Manchester, Barcelona or Real Madrid, when everything is here for him?

Is this the same Teddy Sheringham who, shortly after being sacked by Stevenage, was telling anyone who would listen that Harry should get his arse up to Old Trafford pronto?

Are there a number of Teddy Sheringhams, all with their own boyhood team and opinion on Harry Kane? Has the true Teddy forgotten what he said last year? Is he short of a few bob and needs to raise his profile and a few sheckles?

Does anyone give a **** what he thinks?........No?...............I didn't think so.

Could be worse, a week or so ago Judas was giving his opinion on who he would have rather faced Kane or Hazard as a defender, where he said he;d rather face Kane as Hazard would be running at him from deep

Coincidentally, a couple of days later, Kane did this...

Stick to soliciting for people guilty of committing electoral fraud, Judas.

...and now we have Matthew Upson on Football Focus warning Spurs that Toby is a "perfect fit" for both Manc clubs.

Anything to divert attention away from Rashford going on strike in order to force through his move to Spurs, eh?

  15. The trouble that teams like United and 'Pool have is that we seem more likely to win the title than either of those two, so why would our best players want to leave us?

Money might be a factor still, but it's becoming less so.

The real question is why none of our club representatives have bumped into Ibrahimovic in a hotel lobby recently - especially as it's perfectly legal for us to meet with another club's player to discuss terms on a potential transfer if that player is in the last six months of their contract, and there's nothing that Man Utd can do about it.

Can't think why that scenario suddenly popped into my mind...

This is not true, and must be corrected. Rashford is not "going on strike" .
He is training very hard and diligently in an attempt to be picked for the Man Utd
starting XI, but his manager is too dogmatic and bound to sponsor considerations
on Zlatan etc to pick him.

Sadly for Man Utd this will see Rashford leave for Spurs in the summer, to play
for a club/manager where none of the above apply.

Given his Spanner background, does he think the money needed by either Manc to
pay the Levy tax on Toby, will be coming from the UK taxpayer ??
