PARTIZAN BELGRADE midfielder Everton Luiz left the field in floods of tears after being racially abused throughout their match against local rivals Rad. Every time Luiz, 28, touched the ball spectators reportedly made monkey noises aimed at the Brazilian ace. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Video - https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...being-racially-abused-in-1-0-win-against-rad/
Pretty sickening. I'm surprised foreign players go and play in Russia as racism is rife over in Russia. I know he doesn't play in Russia BTW.
Is that in case he forgets it? Aside from not liking tattoos. Never understood the point in having your own name tattooed on your body. Still, he looks absolutely distraught and it is disgusting. There's still the occasional racist comment at the KC South Stand, used to hear stuff regularly shouted at opposition players, which always really disappoints me.
I honestly cant think I hear racism at City now, not near me in North Stand anyway (I am slightly deaf though)
A couple of seasons back, the bloke behind me was forever shouting 'Diame, you lazy bastard'. Nothing racist about that you might think, only he shouted it every time the ball was touched by Diame, Figueroa, Hernandez, Sagbo or N'Doye.
you'd have thought he would have had him down as a right workhorse getting all round the pitch like that!
Ha ha. I wasn't implying Belgrade was in Russia. It was a general comment about foreign players going to Russia given how prevalent racism is in Russia.
Pardon? Still hear the odd comment in South Stand, quite infrequent now though. So I suspect the culprit is a boycotter.
It's not that surprising. They seem to be 30/40 years behind in their attitudes towards foreign players. It's gonna take a long time for their mindsets to be changed unfortunately
Really, didn't know that It was a separate comment about Russia and foreign players still choosing to play in a country that is rife with racism. I wasn't implying Belgrade was in Russia. Nor was I implying the problem was confined to Russia. Suggest you continue reading. Thanks.
It's disgusting. One thing I love in life is people watching and finding out about different cultures, lifestyles, food etc., I hate racism. But it's still prevalent here too, in different forms. I remember when Mark Walters arrived at Rangers, he was often pelted with bananas from opposing supporters, but also suffered abuse at the hands of his own supporters. He left a Rangers legend in the end.
I've had some great friends from all different backgrounds and life is all the more enriching for the experience.
Completely, I've learnt more from people and travelling than I ever did in school. I'm not saying that's for everyone, but it's certainly my way.
