Been reading loads of posts criticising his signings, but if you really think about it.....he bought Charlie who has now being mooted as an England player. He got Richard Dunne in for zilch and he has been our best CB. The two Chileans seem to doing OK. Phillips, Mutch and Fer have been disappointing but in fairness they are all young players who do have the potential to improve or be sold on. Same with McCarthy. Rio a bad move in hindsight, but I really do not believe that any of us would have expected that Dunny would be turning out week after week. I would still back Harry to do the business in this window.
Harry's signing's have been ok really, so agree with OP. You must remember than fans can be as fickle as hell.
I'd question why he's bought countless players who can only really play effectively in the second striker role and them plays them all on the wings. I don't think you can consider Mutch, Fer, Ferdinand, Kranjcar, Caulker etc. anything but poor value for money thus far.
Second bottom, 2 points out of the last 15, not a single point away from home, more goals conceded than anyone else. His signings have been fantastic. No, really first class.
Emphatically this. I have no problem with the squad (despite rumours that the genius that brought them in is trying to farm them out, inevitably for less than original value due to their limited successes, to replace with the next generation of haggard underachievers).
Probably in the wrong thread but could not resist. Allegedly Taarabt pondering a mive to Milan if they reach the cup semi final... Lost to 10 men Lazio. Hahaha. Adel stop whingeing and show us what you are made of !
Echoes of Warnock's last few matches with a nose dive in form. Very fortunate to have 19 points and the summer signings that have played have been patchy at best...
