Humberside to sack off MW... http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/aboutthebbc/entries/46b21269-723b-4cfd-b8f3-fc735d09d0a3
After I got back to the car yesterday, I turned the radio to Viking2 for post-match disscussion but only got adverts for football coverage and music. That would have been about 5.15pm - had I missed it? Usually that is the time when Burnsy would start doing the tunnel interviews and I would listen on the drive home. Humberside pre-match coverage was ok with the Larson interview and Burnsy phoning in from the KCOM. Does he sit in the press box still or with the rest of us plebs?
Hardly suprising that MW is going. Does anyone still tune on that frequency these days? (football splits apart)
Viking 2 lasted until 5 15 - no emails no calls no texts - just a quick rerun of the goals and a quick goodbye - garbage
Thanks - so no interviews at all? What's the point of being the official broadcast partner? We really are getting a crappier service then, as Humberside sports coverage continues to 6pm - admittedly it's not pure City, but it's nice to check in on the other local teams given none are our direct rivals and we at least got to hear the thoughts of the manager and players, get injury updates etc. No great loss not to hear some of the muppets that called in to give their opinion, but usually tolerable enough in the context of a proper sports programme!
HDM will be the next to be banned from having interviews with the manager and players. Everything will be done by people at the club and then a Twitter feed will give links to Tigers TV. You must all obey the master all hail the Allams.
Thankfully they have got rid of Viking Radio in the lounge yesterday, at least one plus for them getting the commentary gig.
