Yesterday HCST wrote to the FA asking for clarification as to what has happened with the arbitration decision. This is the second time in a week we have contacted the FA on this issue; we received no response to our correspondence on 27 February, nor did the FA respond to our email on 16 January proposing that the governing body works to strengthen its rules concerning the heritage of football clubs and offering to be part of the process. We have reminded the FA of its own statement in September 2014: “Any arbitration commenced under Rule K of the Rules and Regulations of The Football Association is confidential. However, in the interests of the supporters, The Football Association and the club have agreed to confirm that an arbitration has commenced and once a decision has been reached it will be published.” We have reminded the FA that CTWD and HCST diligently followed its request to respect the arbitration procedure. We have shown considerable restraint over a prolonged period of time, despite Hull City AFC’s owners clearly not feeling the same need to respect the FA and its processes. The Trust now awaits the FA’s response – if we do get a response we will, of course, let you all know – and we shall review our position this weekend. http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/hull-city-afc-name-change-arbitration-process/
It's perfectly reasonable for the fans to expect to be told what is going on, at the moment there has been no announcement about either the decision, or even when there will be an announcement about the decision, all we have is a vague article in the HDM.
I believe that delaying the announcement until the end of the season on the grounds that it may avoid disrupting the team is reasonable, given our current position. I am as curious as anyone, but I would not want to see off the pitch issues overshadow any relagation fight.
We'll shortly be issuing our season ticket renewals and there's many people who won't return them without knowing the arbitration panel decision.
That's something the club will have to deal with. But by the same token, some will not renew until they know if we will be safe either. Your reason for wanting to know can hardly be supported by the arguement that it will affect season card sales.
In the past Dr Allam has always given his press conferences,on the eve of a game, possibly disrupting the team. You can make of that what you will.
The main purpose of our letter to the FA is to get confirmation of what is actually happening, we don't expect them to tell us what the decision is, but we do expect to be told when we will find out. Once we have that confirmation, we can then discuss with the club what they propose to do about the season ticket issue. The club, or the FA, should have made an announcement on this, we deserve better than relying on a 'the HDM believes' article.
Eh? You buy one or you dont. If you buy one and the name changes the club will give you your money back. We wont be doing season renewals for quite awhile anyway as we dont know what league we will be in. It'll be May, no rush
We're supposed to be finding out the season ticket details next week, they have two prices, one for the Premier League and one for the Championship(just as they did on the corporate ones last week). The season tickets were released in May last year, but they were very late and the club was aiming to get them out much earlier this time(though that might have been reviewed in light of the current goings-on). If we get confirmation that there definitely won't be an announcement until May, then we'll try and get that refund guarantee confirmed, it's obviously not something that's been sorted already. Fact is, I don't think the outcome will remain a secret until May anyway.
But until the desision is published neither the FA or the club can make any statement or comment. I would respectfully ask HCST to drop this, until the season ends or at least until we are safe from relegation.
HCST making the council seem diplomatic and thoughtful.Message for OLM.When you are in a hole stop digging.Stirring up this at this stage of the season.Great fans
I would respectfully ask you to bugger off as more fans are more concerned about the vandalism of our club than any relegation fight, and rightly so.
They specifically said they'd announce the decision as soon as it was made. Their process is now the subject of HDM speculation which states they were asked by the club to go back on that promise. All we've asked is that they confirm or deny that and let us know when to expect an announcement. A simple answer to that would harm no one and it'd put an end to all this speculation. For now a least. On top of all that, it was originally November at the latest.
