Thats strange, because a jury who watched hours and hours of video and took months and months to deliberate the evidence didn't see it? Did you actually see it or did your brother tell you that you saw it?
No what we could see was fans pushing against locked gates causing distress to others on the outside,as said caught between a rock and a hard place the decision makers.
We all did not. The Health and Safety Executive saw something very different. So did the the Hillsborough Independent Panel. So did a Crown Court.
The fans were there because of inadequate signage at the club and misleading information on match tickets, which caused the bottleneck. They couldn't see the fans inside the ground so couldn't see what they were going into. All they wanted to do was to get in and watch the game that was about to start because nobody ordered a delay to the kick off time
so far as I'm aware, no one on the ouside was killed, the fact the police ORDERED THAT THEY BE LEFT OPEN, then failed to open either internal gates to other pens or perimeter gates on to the pitch, thatkilled so many.
What is so sad is that now the correct verdict has been arrived at, the anger and hatred will be turned on the Police. There is no doubt individual officers made bad errors of judgement for which they must be held responsible. However it seems that "the Police" are being blamed collectively and that does not bode well for ongoing policing. Any accountability must be proportionate and not driven by a revenge mentality.
Not entirely sure why anyone here can have a go at the football fans to be honest. Can you honestly tell me that the behaviour when going through Paddington at rush hour is much different, in terms of the pressing and confinement?
Exactly! The same behaviour that would be shown at a Gig or Festival or any popular event.. There is a massive difference between a high spirited crowd who have had a few drinks and are enjoying themselves and drunken yobs on the rampage, any idiot can see that was not the case at Hillsborough. The real shame is the organised establishment cover up persuaded people with no experience of the difference that the fans were to blame and that belief still continues to this day as can be seen in some of the comments on here! The same people who I very much doubt were even attending football matches back then and jumped on the 'football' bandwagon with the advent of the Premier league. Every single person involved in creating and then perpetuating these foul lies against innocent fans should be brought to justice and punished.
