I don't know what this continued gripe about Koeman is about we were told they were well shot of him and their new manager was better?
If you all would prefer me to not keep quoting Ron's hypocrisy on here, I will take it under consideration.
In what way hypocritical? He didn't sign another contract and moved, he is suggesting Barkley should either sign or go also. It seems he believes if you want to go then don't mess about just go, would you think it less hypocritical to sign a new long term contract then leave?
Bingo They also trousered a large 'transfer' fee for Ronald, and they weren't bothered anyway (so they keep telling us) Football pyramid innit.
The bigger fish will always get what they want from small fry...... And after I wished the fans well for the league cup
Which is a great credit to how we're run as a club to be fair. I've made my feelings on this clear before. I was gutted Ron left, but am very happy with Puel too. I think where some fans get pissed off was him constantly saying he'd see out his contract... I personally believe he was happy to do that, the board wanted him to sign an extension, and for me that's where the friction started. It was only going to end one way after that. What's done is done, you lot got a very good manager, we also got a good replacement which suits the club. This season has been a learning curve for him but we've had a good season. I'm excited to see what he can do next year.
That's perfect. Koeman said he would see out his deal, he was honest and open. The new guy has done well and was unlucky not to put a trophy in he cabinet. Lets see how they both do once they get in who they want and have had a yar to settle in.
I'm sorry Toffee lads, you can carry on blindly defending Ronald, but the man is clearly a shameless hypocrite. This is what he said on Sky just weeks before he "changed clubs for more money"... please log in to view this image Anyway how about a sporting bet for next season, I say that Saints will finish above Everton given that you will possibly be Lukakuless and have the EL and we will have a few back from injury.
Hang on, you said he left because your club wanted a 5 year plan and he wouldn't commit to a contract extension. http://www.not606.com/threads/genuine-heartfelt-thanks.338222/#post-9860422 Sort your ****ing story out
That doesn't change the fact that he moved for better money, he could've stayed loyal to us and signed the extension.
He didn't want to sign the extension, and you lot claimed at the time, that he was then shown the door as you didn't want him running down his contract. Would you sign a contract extension when you knew someone else would pay 3x the wages? Behave.
I'm just pointing out that he doesn't practice what he preaches. You would be saying exactly the same as us if he did that to your club.
No I wouldn't. Moyes left us to join United, who could blame him? It's called the football pyramid lad, and we sit ahead of you in it, so he left, after your lot ****ed up his contract extension. He made noises at the end of the season that he'd sign it, but you failed to conclude it, and he had his head turned. You should be venting at your own club, who allowed him to enter his last year of his deal.
Did you read his quote that I posted?...He said, without irony, that he would hate to be a manager that left a club purely for money and short term gain. He would have a lot more respect if he just told the truth.
Koeman told the club he wouldn't extend, but would see out his deal. When the time comes and he moves on from us, good luck to him. The chance of Southampton ending next season above Everton. Let's have a charity £10 on it. You can donate to Live Life Give Life if you lose.
He didn't leave purely for money though, he left to join a much bigger club who had ambitions way ahead of those of Soton.
