How many former Hull City Assistant Manager's have gone on to manage in the top flight? I'm up to 4 so far, although my memory isn't the best.
i got 4 as well. half of them appointed this month. surnames begin with b,c,d,& s, so as not to spoil the game for others still playing.
How about Horton? He fits your question but in rewind: he went from managing in the top flight to being our AM.
Terry Neill was City's player-manager and NI's part-time manager before he got the Spurs & Arsenal jobs...does that count ?
I got talking to Brian Horton at the postponed Colchester game back in the day. On arriving at the ground to discover the game was off. I asked a steward if I could go and have a look at the so called 'waterlogged pitch'. There was this guy standing by a barrier on his tod. I thought he was one of the grounds men, so I went over and said: "hi mate why is the game off?" He pointed to a waterlogged patch in the corner and said: 'the ref has deemed it too dangerous'. It was only when he turned around did I see it was Brian Horton...Very nice guy. Sympathised that me and a couple of mates had travelled all the way down there to find the game was off when 95% of the pitch looked playable. Top man..
He was superman : he scored the winning goal against England at Wembley, he was only 28 when he was our player manager,he was PFA chairman , he managed Spurs and Arsenal as well as N I. All pretty impressive
So is my sister in law who is a pass holder there. Never been in doubt in her eyes. Totally ****ing deluded.
