Judging by birminghams next 2 games they should be safe. Probably favourites to win both and if they do that's job done for them. Exactly the same scenario for us. The next game for everyone is huge though. If we all win and Blackburn lose that's probably game over for them, on the other hand we could all lose, they could win and it's wide open again. As it stands though we're 4 points clear, it's in our own hands now and we shouldn't have to rely on other results. Let's hope we can give old hollow head a thrashing
Birmingham: Rotherham A Draw Burton H Draw Aston Villa A Lose Huddersfield H Draw Bristol City A Lose 3 points Nottingham Forest: Blackburn H Draw Cardiff A Lose Reading H Lose QPR A Lose Ipswich H Win 4 points Burton: Ipswich H Draw Birmingham A Draw Leeds H Lose Barnsley A Lose Reading H Lose 2 points Bristol City: QPR H Draw Blackburn A Lose Barnsley H Win Brighton A Lose Birmingham H Win 7 points Blackburn: Nottingham Forest A Draw Bristol City H Win Wolves A Lose Aston Villa H Win Brentford A Lose 7 points Final table Bristol City 51 Birmingham 49 Nottingham Forest 49 Blackburn 47 Burton 47 Prepare for squeaky bum time but we ain't safe till the fat ladies warming up. And to be honest if it does go this way I'm going to enjoy watching all the negative post from. Well you know who you are
ROD SAYS 7 PTS CITY 7 PTS BLACKBURN if we are to get another 7 points then Blackburn need 11 to get 7 points is 1 win and 4 draws 2 wins and 1 draws 2 options to get 11 points is 3 wins and 2 draws 1 option
According to the bookies Blackburn are 2/7 to be relegated while we are 9/1. That does suggest that the unbiased believe it is very close to being over. Hopefully Friday's results will see us widen the gap.
Our home form is the key If we win all of our home games we could afford a defeat at Blackburn, and I cant see us getting much from Brighton now they are in pole position to claim the title.
now, GOOD Friday would be a good time to play BHA ............. D D L W D W W W D W W W L L D W L W L W ==WON 10 DREW 5 LOST 5 35 PTS LAST 8 == L L D W L W L W
hopefully brighton will already have been promoted by the time we play them and will have spent the prior week on the sherbert
And they might give some younger players a run out just to take a look at them for next season. It will be what it will be and if we had been better run ourselves the need for this discussion would not be needed. A poor season could become even worse and a win against QPR would go a long way towards survival.
Unlikely as it's their final home game - so they will want to sign off in style, plus its also highly likely they will still be going toe to toe with Newcastke for the title. I expect us to lose by 3 down there.
THATS ALWAYS THE BIG PROBLEM last home game promoted and wanting to be top dog perm any one from three .OH they may actually be able to do all three ... bu**** It is being promoted a chance to either:- showcase "talent" they will be moving on, or, showcase youngsters Give the fans a championship send off late edit I think a win for Brighton and a loss for Huddersfield ties it up
I've got one correct so far, but on a plus side I expected us to slip up over the weekend so I'm in the black at the moment
I have got both of City's right so far and that's all I care about. If that carry's on we will be well safe come May!
We win v Barnsley on Saturday, Blackburn lose makes 7 points ahead with 2 games to play...........we stay up deffo. We win v Barnsley on Saturday, Blackburn draw makes 6 points ahead and we stay up unless Blackburn can overcome a massive goal difference and win both remaining games and we lose both games. If we don't beat Barnsley, then it is down to the wire.......
Same got all the others wrong so far today barring City. Just need Villa to beat Brum, and they can fight it out with Blackburn
With Forest playing QPR and Birmingham losing, are we safe yet? My head hurts trying to work out the combination of results that would send us down - JGF????
