Hull certainly lacked a good front man or two - strange for this division. Maybe should have tried to buy Gayle :) . I mentioned on twitter that their salary level must be at least 4 x ours and they have at least 3 ex-internationals on the pitch. Their passing was crisp and their defending was strong and 'dirty' when it needed to be. Best I have seen - especially after watching Burnley and Brighton on TV this afternoon. They will finish 1st or 2nd. The bookies have them 4/1 favourites to win the League. You can't argue with that. (mind you, we are better odds than Birmingham and Ipswich....so maybe you can!)

We already have a £10m striker, Bruce just rested him yesterday, as he'd only just got back from international duty with Uruguay.

We have another new striker we've never even see play yet, we bought him at the very end of the window and he had a slight groin strain. It turned out not to be so slight and needed surgery, so he's yet to appear, we're hoping he'll be available in December.

Thought your team was very pedestrian,no cutting edge like Reading, and Fulham, at the gate. Both in my opinion were far more clinical on the day.
However you will make the play offs i believe, top two on yesterdays showing no.

We were poor on Saturday, if you base your opinion purely on that one performance you'd be right, but as it wasn't a good reflection of how we normally play, you're not.

Hull are top for a reason - and they are still top despite dropping 2 points Saturday.

I find it hilarious that someone who has watch Hull for probably 90mins this season has written them off because they failed to beat us. A Hull side who are unbeaten in 11, had won the previous 5 games before us without conceding a goal. And off course Fulham will walk the league because they destroyed us, it doesn't matter that they then got stuffed 5-2 at home the week after beating us and got rid of their manager, but as the league table is solely based on performances against us then they will the league with Middlesbro, Wolves and Forest relegated <doh>:1980_boogie_down::emoticon-0136-giggl:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Bloody hell, we must count our lucky stars Hernadez stayed in Hull.
They were FAR better than us, their quality all over the park stood out.
It was our guts and determination and their lack of a decent striker that kept us in it.
Diame (spelling?) is a class act, how the bl**dy hell will we ever afford his wages.
Also loved their LB - reminded me of days when we had a decent LB - Speedy, Scott, Brennan, Barnard, Bell etc

They looked a good side to me - Huddlestone and Livermore were excellent

This will prove to be a good point for us

To be fair we all know that Red Robin is a bit of a nutter and talks ****e, so on behalf of the normal sane posters I apologise to all Hull fans reading this.

Like Redprint says if it was not for Hernandez rested and blood and guts on our part you would of walked this game, plus I believe that you and Burmley will be the automactic promotions with Derby chasing you. <ok>

Ironically, you'll find most of us really didn't want Huddlestone to play, nor do we want him to play against Derby on Friday.

There's no doubting his quality on the ball and he can make a cross-field pass as well as anyone in the game, but he slows things down too much. In recent games, Huddlestone had been dropped for Meyler and it made us a far quicker and effective attacking team, but sadly Meyler got injured on international duty and is out for two months. Most of us want Hayden to replace him (on loan from Arsenal), as he's a more natural replacement, but Bruce doesn't seem to see it the same way.

But you cant judge a side's entire season on the one game that they play against us. We made both Reading and Fulham looked good on those days, doesn't mean that they were great sides, for a start Baker missed both games.

You should maybe try looking at the bigger picture now and again, it would save you loads of embarrassing posts.

Agree. I think Hull will be top 2 come May, possibly with Middlesbrough.

Burnley, Derby, Brighton for the Play Offs
