Unfortunately we had a few who where less then effective in the tackle in midfield last week .. I'm hoping Stewart is fit tbh to add a bit of steel but I wouldn't worry about Meyler going in either .. he does the dirty stuff well .. he ain't the best passer in the world granted but in this league u need some bite .. Growzitski bottled every challenge as well but got away with it by providing the assist for the goal.
Grosicki isn't there to win challenges though, it's his job to be a winger and put balls into the box. Meyler against Burton Albion is probably a good shout, it's Meyler against Sunderland, Wolves and the other bigger, better teams in the division that worries me.
Just to remind yet again, when we had our best run in the Champioship last time, winning 5 in a row I think and beating Brum (who were top at the time) and then hammering Boro, Meyler was in midfield. Henriksen has contributed so little - seems to have an unerring ability to not be where the action is. For me Meyler ahead of Henriksen is an obvious improvement.
He's been here a year now and I feel like I still have no idea what type of midfielder Henriksen is supposed to be.
nope - Junior is a donkey who no-one else other than his dad will give him a contract which is why he cant find a team now - how many other players leave a premier league team and no-one wants them - as far as Meyler is concerned, Ive always been on at him because he constantly gives the ball away, meylers saving grace is he can put the ball in the net given a chance but as far as anything else hes unreliable and a liability because gives away significantly more than he creates - hope that helps
I don't see it like that, I think he's trying to give max a bit of support and encouragement, he did very well last week, he's a young lad, he's showing him that he has faith in him. That is until he buys a more experienced LB and max will then be back up...
