I'm sure that lass outside bhs I gave a couple of quid to this morning would absolutely ****ing love an open top bus ride
Proper history. So do you think the rails on that balcony were put in place because of his exuberant celebration?
A pic of the steam trawler Viola, that a group are trying to bring back (from South Georgia) to Hull, to be restored... please log in to view this image
The Maritime Museum bought the bell in 2008, on wiki it says they returned it to the ship, but I think it's more likely the bought it with the intention of returning it to the ship (if they return it to the ship in situ, it's likely to just get removed again).
I remember one years ago that did a guided tour of the whole City. I did it to see what it was like, and the only bit I really remember, is driving over that bridge with 'north bransholme, enter at own risk' daubed on it.
Would be fantastic if a tourist friendly corridor could be created, starting at the Charterhouse and running all the way down to the marina/Humber Street/Fruit Market/Pier or wherever the hell you're supposed to call that area now. Would also have the benefit of promoting the riverfront and underpass route onto the marina/Humber Street... As **** knows if we'll ever get a pedestrian bridge over Castle Street. And while I'm on it, as nice as High Street is, it could do with a bit of a spruce up. We're only talking a bit of attention to the cobbles, tidying up a couple of untidy areas and sorting one or two things not really in keeping with the nature of the area. Would take minimal investment.
I went to Butler Whites for lunch on Saturday, but they weren't serving outside, as they were 'too busy'. Having enough staff on the work the outside tables on a sunny weekend afternoon seems fairly basic to me.
Do you know what Lambs I was thinking that myself the last couple of times I've been to the area. You just can't really get I any of the places on a nice day and they are missing a trick.
At least we didn't make this list... Britain's bottom 10 retail locations: Shields Road, Byker, Newcastle-upon-Tyne Harrow Road, Paddington, London Stretford, Greater Manchester Tonypandy, Wales Walton Road, Liverpool Burnt Oak, north London Gateshead Kirkby, Merseyside Selly Oak, Birmingham Shettleston Road, Glasgow
Sunday teatime at ASK, people were leaving at the door as they were been told there was a 30-45min wait for food, but the place was half empty.
It's odd isn't it? We left Butler Whites and were going to the new roof terrace above the gallery, but the missus didn't like the look of it and it clouded over anyway, so we ended up eating inside at Tapasya.
have we gained more new eating places than we expected. Surely we have enough catering staff looking for jobs?
"Engagement stats" People hear about the article, go and read it, say "this is bollocks, have you seen this?" send it to their mates... and so on... It's all about the clickbait duckets.
