Fabregas was 100% deserved cos the cocky little **** arrogantly applauded the ref - defo yellow - then did a stupid tackle that was a defo yellow. I'd like to think he'd learn from the first incident but I imagine he won't. If I was a manager and a player ever did that just for a single yellow I'd fine him the absolute maximum, Cahill is harsh for me, it's clumsy and slightly off-timed rather than malicious.
So is it the well known worldwide anti lil ol' Hull conspiracy which would have seen them remain against us or the pro Burnley one which saw them sent off?
Not sure we learnt much from yesterday's win. Yesterday saw us put 4 past a side who many are tipping to go back down, yet they still slotted one past us and opened us up a couple of times before we put the extra man to good use. On the plus side Hernandez showed he can gobble up chances at this level and the move and finish leading up to Grozzy goal was quality. We simply have to slam the door shut now departure wise but who knows what the owners will allow next? The watching scouts undoubtably sat in the stands would have noticed we are not the finished article yet and whilst they know we can score goals, they will also know full we are still work in progress and the better more established sides will look to expose that before we hopefully become more resilient and bonded as a solid unit which only time can help sort out Imo.
Correct always remember Terry(last man) bring down that goal scoring machine that was Altidore when he was clean through, he got a yellow for a tackle that wont not have been out of place on a rugby pitch.
Sounds about right. 11,000 memberships per the supporters committee debrief, less a couple of hundred on holiday, plus a couple of hundred disgruntled Burton fans having paid £6 extra for no reason, plus a few disgruntled fans charged £3 for having the audacity to use the ticket office.
Careless = foul. Reckless = yellow. Excessive force = red. I think Cahill saw red cos he was lunging in without any control of his limbs.
You have to wonder what the break-even attendance is. For this season it's probably 0 so **** the supporters.
The equalizer yesterday came because we lacked experience at right back. The young lad Aina was drawn into the centre too much throughout the half and he would make decent tackles only to give the ball away. I think he expected more time before the attackers came back at him. Once or twice he turned into trouble. But his nutmeg just outside the Burton box must have given him a boost. I just think he needs a little more support and has to put any nerves to bed.
He looked to casual at times, he just needs to learn that you need to defend without trying to be too clever. Maybe from this mistake, which they scored from, will teach him not to be so casual. To be fair to the lad he looked better in the 2nd half, and going forward he looks threatening.
The main concern i have at the moment is the sub's bench (not the bench itself) if Slutsky plan A ,doesn't work it's the lack of choices to put a plan B into action, we really do need reinforcement sooner rather than later.
Yes Cahill is just clumsy (ha ha) no he is often reckless. Not saying intentional. Aka his Mason challenge.
