    No disputing you worked on it but did that work also include 'de-twinning' earlier twin towns. Seems to me you can twin with whoever you like as often as you like, bit like Mormons and their wives then. Oops, no religion...:emoticon-0107-sweat

    Twinning is a partnership for connected reasons.
    You can have as many as desired.
    It doesn't mean that initial twins become part of subsequent arrangements to become triplets.

    Dull in Scotland is twinned with Boring in USA

    The fact they used C of C to celebrate the twin town link with Freetown doesn't mean the others aren't. You are contradicting yourself. You say Rotterdam Can't still be a twin town because we twinned with .Freetown more recently. But we twinned with 3 places after Freetown but that still is a twin town.

    It's seemingly gone for sister City's, Cardiff being one. I guess it's down to the name, they'd maybe have been brother City's if it had been called Nuncles.

    I'm sure the blue "Welcome to Hull" signs used to say that we were twinned with Reykjavik, Rotterdam, Freetown and Raleigh.

    They did, they only changed this year when the new City of Culture signs went up. It seems, at least for this year, the others are now just 'international partners'...

    Hull 2017’s International Partners are: Aarhus, Denmark, which is European Capital of Culture 2017; Reykjavik, Iceland; Rotterdam, The Netherlands; and Freetown, Sierra Leone (twinned with Hull). These relationships are reflected in a number of events throughout the year (HCC).

    Rick tweeted that they quite obviously avoided calling us Hull City, the tweet I posted never mentioned Hull Tigers and calling us Tigers all the time is exactly how they avoid calling us Hull City.
