Mike White @mikewhitesport 2m2 minutes ago Obviously value of #hcafc greatly depreciates with relegation but I'm told Allams had decided to stick with the club even if safety secured.
How many counties do you think there are in England? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ceremonial_counties_of_England
"wor are not in the big league with the big boys any more, blah blah, Leicester's run was unbelievable, blah blah, umpteen opportunities missed, blah blah, injuries injuries blah blah, suspensions suspensions blah blah, we'll dust worselves down blah blah and try to get back to the big league" **** off Bruce.
OK, I stand corrected on that one. Boro was indeed in the old North Riding of Yorkshire. Too early to think of next season though.
Right we're down now - decent effort today but just not good enough this season. Lets see who stays, who comes & who goes for next season and look forward to more winnable games and more saturday games at hopefully more reasonable prices and if there is any decency - an end to this hull tigers divisiveness.
Sorry but you are not talking sense. England can be divided into either ceremonial/geographical counties, administrative or historical counties. Yorkshire is an historical county. Administrative counties in "Yorkshire" are South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Darlington, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, York, East Riding of Yorkshire and Kingston upon Hull. Ceremonial/geographical counties in "Yorkshire" are East Riding of Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire (which included Middlesbrough). As you can see, if anybody decides whether a place is in "Yorkshire" the only logical way of deciding that it is looking at is the historical county. In all other cases the "counties" are split using parts of "Yorkshire" and in all cases Middlesbrough is in one of those parts.
Middlesbrough not in Yorkshire? Is that the Middlesbrough which like Hull staged Yorkshire cricket matches? The Middlesbrough which Brian Clough made his wife go back to for the birth of his son so he qualified to play for Yorkshire as you had to be born in the county back then to play for Yorkshire? The Middlesbrough which now incorporates Marton where Captain Cook often described as being one of Yorkshire's most significant people was born? The place where Sunderland fans ding about as being just a small town in Yorkshire? I wouldn't go around putting money on it.
No ****. He won't want to sell until we are promoted again. The only thing he cares about is money, nothing else.
