I think the difference with Obertron is that with Aarons and Perez in the team he realised he had the pace to get behind the full back and would likely have someone to aim at in the box with a cross.
We always knew that with his pace if he had the confidence to skin a defender he could be useful but only this season did he start trying to do that.

Did Obertan REALLY do enough in those FEW gamesto truly change attitudes? I know I knocked him, but I don't quite feel ready to eat humble pie just yet. I'd love him to really prove me wrong, but my view is that over his time here he's been a flop, with a few positive glimpses.

Personally I'm more excited about Abeid potentially being fit and Aarons & De Jong not far behind.

Obertan's problems were always simply about getting his head up and being calmer on the ball and not panicking and wasting the positions he got himself into. He always had the pace and he does have decent skills on the ball. He only had a handful of games where he appeared to have got over these issues so the jury's still out for me but there did seem to be a more confident player there and hopefully when he's back he'll be just as good.

Long way to go before he has done a Perch or Barton. I think most would only say he made a promising start this season and the team has been worse off without what he showed in those performances. Can he pick it up again? **** knows.

Lying fat **** Bruce making out like he's got a million injuries. His team and bench look about as I would expect. Jelavic and Hernandez start when they were apparently going to be out for a lot longer. Just getting his excuses in the disgusting abortion-faced ****er.

I hate seeing Anita out there but I don't think I would have started those guys coming back from injury either. We've got some solid pacey impact sub's available. I figure Anita will suck so well give abeid 45 minutes, I would like to see santon in as well as obertan.

Just two genuinely poor sides. Sad to say it but the lack of quality is depressing. Cabella is so slow, always allows them to get numbers back.

We are gonna have to hope as far as left hand side goes, these two are thick as ****. What is Carver on? Sammy and Haidara. Its like dumb and dumber.

Bloody awful, would help if you're set up to counter attack if the team actually could do that. Carver not showing any ambition, should change thinks now.

Crying out for a Cabaye type today to dictate the play. They are just kick and rush. Huddlestone and Livermore look to have regressed, I thought they were better on the ball.

    Better from Haidara, decent cross

I think cabella would be much more handy if he was playing centrally. I'm not sure how you fit that into the team but he has good ability to skip round people. Out wide he slows us down on the break. I think he is worth giving a good go in the team though. Absolute cheating rat el maradonna hand ball there. would of been fuming if they hadn't spotted that.
